I think we need to move on from both Laughton and Frost. Rebuild, don't get stuck in the muddy middle. |

Absolutely. But in typical Flyers fashion they won’t. Never saw a franchise continue to repeat the same mistake for literally decades

Draft lottery tomorrow night. Probably be anti-climatic.
Eiserman just keeps scoring goals, keep on falling out of the top 10. |

Somebody good will be there at #12.
Will just be a matter of the Flyers developing them properly.

Natural goal scorer. Some impressive names he’s topped. If he’s there take him. Hard to teach that, easier to teach other aspects of the game |

What is the appropriate number of glue guys a team should have? The Flyers have 7 approaching 8 by my count.
Poehling
Hathaway
Deslauriers
Cates
Laughton
Atkinson
Seeler
Couturier
Do they need to add? I'm a little uncomfortable with only 1 glue guy on defense. Perhaps Erik Johnson can be resigned? |

Take BPA for both picks this year, do not add anything to move up to get a similiar player with the name you like. Trade TK, Laughton, and no buy outs or FA signings. See what you have...next year, take on expiring bad contracts at the TDL for more options. Draft for need with our 2 firsts next year in a deeper draft.
Be ready for Michkov...by adding 4 firsts, 2 for position, 2 as BPA, plus Michkov, plus the TK return package...they really can turn it around by 26-27.
Patience is needed.
Just curious..Seattle is looking to push next year..anyone think we couldget Shane Wright for TK? Add in where needed.

Laughton absolutely. Respectfully disagree on Frost. |

I would add TK to that list. Take a step backwards to make a leap forward.
That said I fully expect this front office to do what they always do. Overpay for complementary players over trying to get legit cornerstones. |

Yeah, they aren't in the position to be picky at #12. They'll just have to settle for whoever falls to them. Pray somebody as good as Michkov tumbles down the order, but probably they'll just need to be content with picking a high-probability 2nd-line/top-four talent. It is what it is.
Be ready for Michkov...by adding 4 firsts, 2 for position, 2 as BPA, plus Michkov, plus the TK return package...they really can turn it around by 26-27.

I still don't expect TK to be traded. It's PO's or bust.
And I don't expect Flahr to come up with any draft miracles. Outside of KK (which was a fluke) his draft record just doesn't instill much of confidence. |

They’re still high on Wright. He had a good year in the AHL. Still has two years on his ELC. He is expected to make the club next year. I don’t expect them to move him until they know what they have in him.

That’s 6 1st round picks in 3 successive drafts. A trade of konecny could make it 7. The problem is floridas will be 30/31
Reminds me of Buffalo. Treasure trove of picks!

Imo some folks are wrongly blaming Hak for slow youth development. Beniers fell off with the team. Wright won’t turn 21 until the middle of next season. So he’s on track. They peddled Wennberg so he doesn’t block Wright and Morrison. Hak has flaws but I don’t think he should be blamed for development.

I have no problem with them burning a 3rd or 4th to move up a few spots to get the player they want.

Laughton yes, Frost no. Not because he’s spectacular, but who’s gonna play center that could produce on this team. Certainly not anyone that we draft this summer. |

Regardless you should always take BPA. Position comes into play if the prospects are seen as equal. Wright is taking a bit longer to get it figured out but I think he will… those Covid years affected some of these kids development. If the Flyers could ever move some of their older vets for someone like that it’s a no brainer. |
