If they truly intend to change the roster, that implies the blame lies on the players. So I would have kept Keefe. I think the pickings are incredibly slim outside of maybe getting a shot at BrindAmour. Gallant and Berube are 2 year band aids. McLellan is a Babs disciple. Because it's obvious the roster needs to be constructed differently, just like it was obvious at the TDL but you don't trade one of your marquee players going into the playoffs.

Why would Marner and a 1st round pick even be comparable in that sense?
