Leafs fans, thoughts on this 3 team trade idea?
Toronto gets:
Chychrun
Konecny - 50% ret
Anton Forsberg
2025 CLB 2nd (from PHI)
Ottawa gets:
Marner - 20% ret
Ristolainen - 50% ret
Brink
Laughton
2025 ANA 2nd (from PHI)
Flyers get:
2024 OTT 1st (7th ovr)
2025 OTT 1st
2026 TOR 1st
Reaves
Kampf
Joseph - Schmojo
Would be a great deal for the Flyers
Toronto and Ottawa both say no IMO.
Brink, Forsberg, Laughton and Ristolainen all have negative trade value
No way Konecny gets the Flyers even one top ten pick in the first round, never mind three firsts. Apart from that, Forsberg is not likely what the Leafs are looking for in a goalie after several disappoinments with middle of the road poop goalies. This all moot, because Marner has a NMC, so if he is moved, he will pick the team he is moved to.

Flyers were real close to the playoffs and unless the management doesn't want to do that again I don't think they do the trade either.

I think Wedgie is correct (from the previous thread). We have seen the major change we are going to see this season with Keefe being shot into the Sun (hence the solar flares and aurora).
I think the Leafs keep the "core 5" and shuffle the deck chairs around them this coming season. If the results are still underwhelming, then we see major roster changes for the following year with JT and Marner being up for contracts.
As much as some want to see JT and/or Marner (or Nylander, or Rielly) shot into our nearest star, I don't think it happens yet.
