I was hoping they’d win but I think Dallas is just too strong.

Another couple of potholes KD has to avoid is overvaluing and overpaying a player, like Darnell Nurse and building a club with little thought to defence.

I was criticized a week or so ago for saying the Oilers were a better version of the Leafs. Built the wrong way...Superstars at forward but below average D after the top pair, and iffy in net.

I was hoping they’d win but I think Dallas is just too strong.

I think Dallas will probably win the Cup. They are a very good hockey club and are playing well right now.

When Nurse was given that contract i knew it would bite them. Too much of a Cap hit for what he brings. He's more of 5-6 million player imo.

I think the Oilers D just makes it to easy for the Stars. The mental error by Kulak in the playoffs is no Bueno and he's not the only D man.

At the same time Stars get some nice bounces as well.

Once Colorado is in a position where they’re giving away good prospects to try to get an overage core to try to win, then they have to re-evaluate. I think the Kings (frank)ed up big time.

I agree the PLD trade is a head scratcher, and thinking Talbot could be your #1 goalie was a risk.

Oh well, I guess they will have to trade Nurse to the Leafs.

The double whammy is the guy you keep and pay, last year went mia in the playoffs literally, and now this year has been suspended during the playoffs.

Whoever emerges from the East will be pretty beat up. The Star Oil series is very tame by comparison.

If Jones was the RHD on the 2nd pairing with some PP time he’d be just fine. KD needs to find another RHD to take the top pairing role. Note Levshunov, the Hawks will be taking Demidov 🤣. If the Hawks pick at 18 or earlier they should take a RHD, unless an amazing forward slips to them. Then use 34 for the RHD.

Not sure if they were D partners but on same team. Some very good players on that London team. One of them Alex Formenton who's one of the 5 guys charged in that rape case.

Dallas has the horses to keep up but Edmonton is picking their spots well, absolutely can’t give them a PP.

Defences for both Dallas and the Rangers are taking a real beating. Stars down to 5 tonite and not much depth to draw on. Running Ryan Suter's head thru the glass would be nice.

I thought that was his second most important contribution of the series. I think his leadership to get Toews back on track was one of the legendary moments that season.
