What I find most curious about thius new revised pronman list is hiw he loaded the bottom with players he has never mentiuoned until now...from Russian goalies to large non-goalies with skating issues.

I think we finally got Corey (new lesser gauky ATHLETIC profile look and all) to come out from his curtain....
I suggest you note this lsit and see how absolutely bad it is after the real draft.

In my opinion levshunov isnt even the best dman in the draft.

Good on Faber for taking advantage of an opportunity (Spurgeon's injury), but the fact of the matter if he was still with the Kings, he would at best be 3rd pairing behind Doughty, Roy, and possibly Spence.

Also, the Kings got a PPG player in Fiala, so they didn't lose on the deal, they traded from excess and got a very productive forward. Faber would not have made a difference in how the Kings ended up, regular or post season.

Not what KD is looking for, not a good skater, not good defensively, and not a high motor guy. What he can do is shoot the puck and can score.

I read where Trevor Moore might be available because LA is trying to free up cap space. If it costs a second rounder, I would do it in an instant.

Thanks for the report. Scratch Kaliyev.

If KD pursues somebody like Kakko or Moore, wonder if Phillips will be part of the package.

I've seen some mock trades that involve Kakko for Reichel, plus or minus draft picks on either side.

I don't think I would make that trade. As frustrated as Reichel's development has been I think the team needs to see things through with #27. I'm in favour of taking a flyer on Kakko, but I wouldn't be willing to over pay for the guy.

Its a long short (probably a very long shot) but Kakko could be this team's Sharp (esque) type of player.

- DarthKane

Agree on the bolded, plus Reichel is a much better skater than Kakko.

Kaliyev wants out of LA. 22 year old, 181 NHL games played, 35G and 36A. He's finishing his ELC and needs a new contract.

If KD is good with Demidov then I’d have to believe he and the scouting staff have done their due diligence. But if Demidov is in fact highly regarded and KD isn’t sold on him, moving him for both of Montreal’s picks, assuming the Habs covet Demidov, may be an option? So many potential outcomes. I still have a feeling the Hawks will select Lindstrom if he’s healthy.

2nd leading scorer on the team. Without him, doubtful the Kings make the playoffs. So he did make a difference in the regular season.

Faber's stats were not as good as Doughty, and Doughty is much better defensively, so having Faber would not have made a difference if the Kings made the playoffs or not.

Part of the criticism from the fan base in Denver (bunch of friends who are Avs fans since I live there now) is that what really (frank)ed Nichushkin up was playing on that bad foot and being pumped full of pain killers to get through it and he hasn't been able to stay clean since.

Bolland was a far better point producer I as a 17 - 19 year old than Nazar. It’s what the Hawks project for the prospects. But like you I see someone else in that role Savoie or Ludwinski, or the two in tandem. The other thing is whoever does fill that role has to buy in 100% like Bolland did. And if you think about it, it’s quite amazing that a guy like Bolland was willing to buy in when his junior numbers suggested he was a top end point producer and not a third line role player. Bolland not only took a huge hit in personal glory but in salary as well. How many guys would have bought into that role, considering the circumstances, the way Bolland did? Pretty special guy and a huge reason for the Blackhawk’s success.

Another guy like Seabs who doesn't get the credit they deserve. That was an awful big core at one point

Kinda like Derek Boogaard, the guy was taking 10-20 oxy's a day just to deal with the pain no wonder he's gone.

Doughty 1177 games played
Faber 84 games played

Doughty had a whopping 3 more points than him in the regular season

Don't know how much Doughty has left in the tank but that was a huge sacrifice to trade him away because you thought your team was ready to compete in the playoffs.

I love this Ryan Kennedy diddy in The Hockey News Draft issue about Cayden Lindstrom: “It’s hard to find big physical Centres who don’t mind being a bully and have skill to be a top line player.” And mentioned comparisons to Quinton Byfield and Tom Wilson….

Its really hard to do a rebuild and win a cup. A mistake here and there can really screw it up.

We should all keep this in mind.

I'm on the fence of picking a Russian at #2 especially with suspected skating issues. I wouldn't mind seeing KD move down say to #5 and grab a few more assets. Hughes in Montreal apparently wants Demidov. Would KD say no to

#5 + #26 + Joshua Roy + Jacob Fowler for #2?

- SaskHawkFan

IYes...and all we really know is the Hab fans want that move....if they wanted anyone, they are not advertising it...

He than could pick either Lindstrom or Richardinson and package #18 + #26 + #50
to say move into the top 10 to Grab Berkly Catton or Tij Iginla?

- SaskHawkFan

Not that many NHL teams making swooping draft pick trades...maybe the only one happening, already happened--> up to #18

I'd be pretty happy if he could pass the stress of wither Demidov will come over to North America and Add 4 very nice pieces to the prospect pool.

He will play in the dub, with his team.

A bit of a difference when you let a first round defenseman linger in Junior and not get pro coaching, daily advice and supervision.

You want Cayden to ply his trade and keep getting bigger, stronger and faster.
