Im starting to like him as our pick @2. Just hoping the injury history is minor and isn't an issue. - SaskHawkFan
I just watched video of Demidov dangling and freezing people in their tracks, just incredible moves. Then I watched Lindstrom who can dangle and go through people. Both have great shots. I think Lindstrom is the better skater. Quite frankly I’m good either way, assuming they are both being considered. |

Are they assuming his career will be shortened by injury?

Oh boy! If anyone is watching the ECF game tonight, doesn’t it seem like Forsling is on the ice all the time? |

At what point is it acceptable to you to make a trade or signing to fill a roster hole to be competitive in the playoffs? - Chunk
Fan have to remember picks and prospects are assets. Most fans of every team fall in love with the team's prospect , i am guilty, but a GM has to be able to identify which ones can make the team better whether in a trade or as part of the team. |

The comparison to Lindros has allot to do with his size, skating, skill and power. I would hope he keeps his head up or his career won’t last long. |

I know why the comparison was made. Its pretty ridiculous, imo.
Lindros was putting up nintendo numbers at every level and Lindstrom had a fine rookie season and was on his way to a monster 2nd season until injured.
The comparison is unfair to Lindstrom and is his medicals are fine, he will be a good choice at 2. I like Demidov myself but there are 3-4 guys who would be a good choice. |

Someone needs to go old school on trouba and get their stick up his face when he takes a run at them.
Trouba also targets small players so Lindstrom should be fine. |

Hawks are going to be in a very good spot. And I'm sure teams will make calls to move up to two but have to think the offer would have to be overwhelming that Davidson could not pass up.

Demidov hasn't had Barclay Goodrow closing the gap by stepping up into his crotch...he's gonna have less knee meniscus very quickly.... |

Demidov is bpa depending on who is doing the draft board. Some boards have Demidov as low as 8th. I am sure KFC and his group have a bpa, who may or may not be Demidov.
Funny thing, European scouting has Semynov(?) the Russian defenseman as the best outside of NA. |

I don't think so. I think he is just getting himself into position if he wants to move up for someone they really want. Also, they gave up pick 61 but still have pick 66 and they have used a lot of pick in the top 90 the last two drafts. so one pick isn't going derail any plans. - Elbows15
One possibility - To move up from 20 to 18, they would have to see 18 to 20 as an area where there is a dropoff. They would have someone in mind that they want to make sure they get. Same might be true of moving up to 50 from 54. And the Isles might not see much difference in these slots, and happy to take an extra at 61.
Yes, the other is being better able to repackage the pick(s) for something grander. Reminds me that one of the Flyer seconds they got for Timonen was repackaged to acquire the first that became Konecny. |

So. They both didn't win a Stanley Cup. Minny got a lot younger and my guess is Faber will be playing a long time after Doughty and Fiala hang them up - BetweenTheDots
They traded Faber because they had a surplus of right handed defensemen. They traded from a position of strength for a position of weakness. What don't you understand? |

I think he’s referring to the online draft boards created by various prospect rankings. Then he refers to the fact rankings by individual teams may vary. It’s certainly possible Demidov is ranked number 2 by many teams or he could be ranked differently by Chicago? It’s possible Chicago’s scouting has him ranked at 2 or 1 or 5 or 36, we don’t know. |
