Man i really hope the youngest defenseman in the league last season puts it all together. It'll be great you'll be like GP was always female doging about Kane. - BetweenTheDots
First off. Kiss my ass for mentioning me in the same sentence as that miserable bastard.
Secondly. Kk never belonged in the NHL last season.
Thirdly. I hope he makes me eat my words cause I want him to be good as a Hawk fan
Lastly. I never got one wow moment from him. So, a bust he shall be called until I see one. Just one. |

So Edmonton just won their Confernce final and I give them just as much credit as I give Dallas a failure grade for relying too much on veterans and too much leaving the goalie out to dry
I hate to see an undeserving team with weak blueline crew get to the final. I hope Florida wipes them out |

I read that he advised St. Petersburg he wasn’t going to sign long term and in retaliation SKA didn’t give him playing time in the KHL. If true that bodes well for whoever selects him in the draft. - paulr
Or not so well for the gentleman in question, as I kinda doubt Gazprom is into hearing 'nyet' from someone it wants to employ. There is that.

Huh? So who do you think was more deserving?
The Oil beat both the Pacific and Central Diviaion champs.
And Peter Deboer & crew was outcoached by the Edmonton staff. |

I surmise you weren’t impressed with the fortuitous and superfluous effort by the Edmonton team? I beseech you to explain how Edmonton we’re not deserving and what you postulate made Dallas more laudable. |

Edmonton is going to find out that Dallas is not Florida.
The Panthers roll 4 lines and 3 D pairs that constantly hound the puck. And that Bobrovsky isn't too bad either.

Let me try:
In the last 3 games of the series Dallas was outscored by the Oilers 10-4. Thats bad luck due to the Oiler's goalie being lucky.
McDavid scores and assists on lucky goals. If he was with the Leafs he would be their 3rd line center.
Peter Deboer is a very unlucky coach - has lost 2 Stanley Cup finals and 4 Conference Finals. Just bad luck. |

Reluctantly give Edmonton credit but I just do not respect a team with a weak blueline crew. You make a good point, who was more deserving. Edmonton coaching out coached their opponent throughout playoffs. I do not believe that Edmonton will make adjustments and find success vs Florida |

The Edmonton D isn't as bad as they used to be. They've been improving in the back end year over year for a couple seasons. Once they fired Woodcroft after he tried to start the year with Edmonton trying to emulate Boston's system, they were one of better defensive teams with good by not elite goaltending. I don't know who will win but Florida is facing a different animal than they are used to. I hope we get a really good series. |

You say their blueline is weak. But when the series was really on the line they only allowed Dallas 4 goals total over Games 4,5,6.
Against Vancouver they allowed 8 goals in the last 4 games.
So they can't be that weak. Not a bunch of All Stars but good enough so far.
And if your opinion is Dallas' D group is much better, consider this - they dressed 6 D tonite, 2 guys (Suter and Petrovic) played 6 minutes each. The other 4 were well over 20 mins. each with Heiskanen playing 30 mins.
By contrast, no Oiler Dman logged more than 21 mins. tonite.
So who's the better D group? |

You gotta give Dallas credit for doing everything they could. They didn't quit but in the last half of that series Edmonton had better special teams and better goaltending. |

I keep hearing Oettinger is one of the best goalies in the league - guess what, he's not, he's average playing behind a pretty good team. Put him behind the Hawks and it wouldnt be very pretty.
Dallas was beaten by a better coached team and they are old. |

Currently, put any goalie in the hawk net and it wouldnt be pretty. They werent out coached, they were outplayed by a team with superior offensive talent. |

I guess it might be inflammatory to point out that the mohawk is essentially a figure skating move. Do they even still call it that? |
