Quality player, but I'd be skeptical on him with an expensive long term deal. CAR has had about the best blue line in the league in his time there. They can replace him and Orlov's cap hit is too high to be playing so little.

Yeah, who would have predicted Orlov's play falling off a cliff like that? Oh yeah, he had a good contract year...........like so many others.

I'm not so certain Orlov fell off a cliff so much as Carolina's was so stacked defensively that he's not better than the two LD that played ahead of him. He would play 20+ minutes/game on almost every other team in the league.

The Orlov deal looks bad and could look worse if Necas and/or Guentzel are lost due to cap room. Brady has peaked and he wasn’t enough to get over the hump. He’ll walk. What happened to Joey Keane?
