The 0 defense is the biggest red flag I've ever seen. I can't do that again with a Kreider who decent defensively and a declining Zibanejad. No thank you.

I would do it if he took a real low-cost deal. I have no interest in him at like $3M-$4M a year. For like $1M-$1.5M I'd give him a go on a 1 or 2 year deal.

I would also love to trade for McGroarty. That'd be about the only intelligent (realistic) use of the 1st rounder in a trade I can think of

I'm not dying for him. Even thought the Trotz days are long gone, I don't know that Skinner entirely ignoring the defensive side of the puck is one that is going to fit with the Isles.

I don't need anything explained to me, thanks. I perform higher level mathematics than this all day.
What I do need is for anyone putting stock in these numbers to understand is that in the game of hockey, if you can't or won't play defense on any significant level, you can NEVER be a player with an overall ranking that is anywhere near elite. Certainly not at the 83rd percentile. Defensive capabilities and awareness are actually one of the hallmarks of a top player.
