I know I have been on hiatus from the blog since say before the pandemic? Maybe even before that. It wasn't like this when I left. Enjoyed reading everything everyone wrote. Jan, Glen, Vin, Brian, Kody, Matt, Jimmy, Dave, TJ, etc etc etc.

It's not the same for sure. I don't like having to sound like a broken record or whatever but yeah certain things in the comments aren't fun to read at all. Again I feel like we're getting trolled by other teams fans but at the same time it's just NYR fans trolling other NYR fans? When and why did that happen/start?

I just think he’s much held in a much higher regarded throughout the league than with NYR fans. He’s not bad, had a bad playoffs bc he had a piece of his ankle missing

Agreed. We’re losing alot of intimidation in a hockey game without him. BUT these kids like Rempe and Cuylle need to step up. Roobreock I think is a beast on skates.

Anyway my belief is that this team isn’t that far off. You still gotta believe that guys like Laf, Schneider, Miller, Cuyle, and a healthy Chytil are going to get better. You want to tell me that guys like Panarin, Mika, Kreids, and Trochek are going to decline next season. I honestly have a difficult time believing that. Mika I think is going to have a Panarin Lite season coming up.

You want to call me too optimistic that’s fine but I saw a team that dominated last season and played extremely well two rounds in the playoffs. They ran into a Florida team that was just the better team. Rangers get past them they probably win the cup against Edmonton honestly. Do I want to make the excuse that the Rangers had some pretty significant injuries on the blue line and that’s why they struggled so much at times?? I mean Trouba playing with one ankle, Fox having knee issues, and Lindgren had broken ribs. You can’t say it didn’t play a role.

I 100% agree with the notion that this team needs to add players that can drive offense 5v5 and not another PP merchant and they need to getter bigger defensively. I don’t have the answers but the notion they should tear it up in my opinion is not the route to go.

I personally don’t want Patrick Kane. Think that would be a step in the wrong direction for me. We talk about adding pieces we need. We want to be a team that’s hard to play against. I have mentioned before I really like Marchassault. 7th in 5v5 point last season and think he could come in at a reasonable #.

I did. I told my wife once the Rangers' playoffs were over I was going to take a buzzer to my head and it's done.

Toronto could use some of what Trouba brings. Maybe we could work out a trade for Bertuzzi or Domi?
Then, we'd just need to circle the date of that 1st game against them to know when we are losing one of our top players to a borderline elbow!

hey beautiful -- didn't realize Marchassault is already 33. But yeah him or Guentzel would be nice. I understand why we keep dishing out like 6+ year contracts but I'm not against some 3-5 year contracts instead. Also no more NMC for every guy we sign over a 6 million dollar AAV contract.
