Heard on Canuck podcast RD saying Milstein will announce on July 1 why Zadarov is moving on from Canucks. He said it’s not about money or term.

What happened?

- Quinn's Quest

Who knows? Or more importantly, who cares? It would have been nice to keep Z but he's not the only D out there and worst comes to worse he may even find that the offers out there aren't as good as the one Vancouver offered and circle back. We've had issues with Russian players resigning since the days of Krutov and Larionov were here so maybe there's an issue with the city itself.

Fantastic - let the sharks feed and overpay, and GMs keep making the same mistakes over and over.

Based on his health alone, I wouldnt give Tanev anything more than 3X3 - and i dont even feel good about that

- Brooks_Light

This fanbase' obsession with former players needs to end. A hard no to bringing Tanev back.

I wonder what Hamhuis is doing...

Tanev, Toffoli can continue their careers elsewhere.

I would have liked to see Zadorov return, but not at an overpayment.

Agree on all counts. Move on.

Big Z would have been nice but not at 6 mil or whatever he wants.

Seeya. Don't care about Lindholm either. Another small swede is not the answer lol

Things have really soured with Daniel Milstein, I don't think we'll be seeing any of his clients on the roster anytime soon.

Kuzmenko fired him, apparently Mikheyev wasn't pleased being dealt.

Allvin will have some $ for a change with Guentzel no longer being an option.

Poop. Was hoping he'd make it to free agency and the Canucks.

Teravainen, DeBrusk, Amadio, Dillon, Hakanpaa all good targets to spread the money around. Still think they'd look at a trade route to bring in a top 6 winger who's younger – though with Guentz departure I wonder if Carolina is taking Necas off the table.

Marchessault also a possibility, though much older.

When looking at the Ufa list and what Van's needs are there are quite a bit of potential fits. It's nice to see for once. Definitely fet some meat if you can. There's size there. Mantha someone in here has been saying he'd be fine. There's a bunch of decent 3 4 dmen

I mean Hamhuis would probably be a great fit in Abby as a D coach.

That contract is gonna be horrific. He'll score 30 goals for a few years then drop off a cliff and it'll be a 4-5 anchor that everyone will complain about and laugh at. Thankfully it won't be our mistake.

Only issue is if he scores 30 on the 2nd with petey and we win a cup it's worth every penny.

Also attitude of whatever ufas we bring in. Hopefully Allvin can find more winners and drivers. Essentially more guys wired like Quinn and Millsy and less like Bo

I never really thought Guentzel would sign here.
Not too bummed about it tbh.

I also don’t believe Stamkos would sign here, but it’s an interesting thought.
Akin to Mats Sundin.
Bring in a vet who can score and lead the team and also has cup pedigree.

For the right price/term I would consider it.

In reality, we need at least one top 6 winger, 1 top 4 D and some reclamation projects.
In Alvin we trust.

Big Z will be this year’s Klingberg. He’ll price himself out of the market and then be forced to sign a one year contract once he’s left at the dance without a partner.
