Explains why they didn't draft Zayne Parekh and went with Catton, which I probably would of done the same. |

Montour will be good. Solidifies the top four and moves Borgen back to bottom pairing. He struggled with the 3-4 placement last year. Borgen can also insulate Evans on the bottom pairing there too as the stay at home part of the pairing. |

NHL GM’s are (frank)ing morons. The $ and term being thrown around for 30+ year old players is insane. |

Monty will be a nice addition to your blueline. It's just the contract that's a tough one.
He had his ups and downs as a new Panther, but he became an important piece to the defensive group the past few seasons.
One thing he learned to do better is when to take off. When he first came to Florida, he acted like a fourth forward. It was brutal. So many times you would see him down below the goal line of the offensive zone, leaving a forward to man the point, then he could never get back and play proper defense.
But he's gotten much better at picking his spots and knowing when to rush/cheat in low. |

Good players, but yeash, 7 years? I’d rather WAY over pay on a two year deal and see where things sit then. |

Only thing I can think of is Gourde likely drops out off line 3C and he is the replacement long term? It's going to be interesting. Not sure they really upgraded the scoring unless Bylsma is confident in Evans, Kartye, Wright, and Winterton stepping in and helping McCann and Benny.
I like the D much better though. |

Dumo to the Ducks for a 4th rd pick.
There's the move that opens the spot for Evans. |
