Careful with generalizations!!
I joined the golf league to schmooze when I started in my engineering office 10 years ago. I lasted 3 years. I am a bogey golfer and was WAAAAY better than 97% of the people out there.
All smart people. Terrible, terrible golfers!

Hitting it where you intend to isn’t easy. Then you need to putt on felt length grass with subtle hills and vallies you can barely see. It’ll drive you bonkers

Golf is filled with peaks and valleys - just when you think you got it - you suck again.

Just gonna say..right now he might be as good as Tiger ever was. If he isn’t in the top 5 people are like what’s wrong with Scheffler

Scheffler might be the best tee to green there ever was before hes done. He needs a US Open tho and that’s where his putting gets the best of him. Tiger was a much better putter in his prime

We could get McDavid for a 7th round pick and someone’s first post about it would be a chart showing he lacks elite defense or some nonsense.

“Toms allowed to have his opinion, just bc he doesn’t view McDavid the same way you all do doesn’t mean he’s wrong”

Nah he’s got elite defense in the charts too. Interested to see what the peanut gallery would find wrong with him though

The reason I dont consider golf a sport is because you dont necessarily need to be athletic to be good at it. It does however require a lot of skill, hand-eye coordination to hit a golf ball. I hold the same opinion of baseball, in some ways because although there are positions that do require a lot of athleticism, there are some that do not. Also, again with batting, you dont necessarily need to be some peak athlete to hit a ball, you do however need to have incredible skill, hand-eye coordination, timing. However, in this modern day version of baseball using metrics, the quality of hitters/batters has fallen off immensely. Guys hitting sub .200 is something you will see regularly lately.

Daniel Vogelbach is a good example. That guy looks like a manager at McDs

You’re an expansion team and u have the #1 overall pick, both guys are in their prime, u taking Crybaby Crosby or McDavid

As of right now, Im taking Crosby. One guy had 3 cups and the other has none. You could argue that both the Pens and Oilers have similarish team builds, the one outlier being Fleury.

Heres a scenario…

A. Youre a player who played 15 seasons, and has a total of +/- 450 points on the career. Youve been apart of 3 stanley cup winning teams.

B. Youve played 15 seasons and amassed 2200 points in your career. Youve never won a stanley cup.

Which are you choosing?

I was thinking Nikola Jokic is an amazing athlete where the look does not meet the ability. He is 7 feet and cant dunk. i would take him.

Putting aside Pittsburgh’s defense being better, having prime fleury over the goalies Edmonton has had would have made all of the difference in the world. Am I crazy?

I reject this question. It’s nonsensical. I want the better player. Connor McDavid in place of Sidney Crosby on that team for that many years would’ve won at least 3 cups. This is insane he’s maybe the best player to ever play and he’s not halfway done with his career. Crosby is a top whatever player all time. 20? 15? 10? McDavid is going on the nhl mt Rushmore
