I cant imagine them buying out Trouba, that would be a dumb thing to do.

Unless they’re kind of pointing to the buyout like “help us with a trade or we’ll use this”

I’m not sure the Girardi comparison for Lindgren holds much water if you look at the ages of the two..Girardi was 33 during his last year for the rangers, Lindgren is still a young man at 26. Imo it’s too soon to let go of Lindgren, anyone can get hurt at anytime and Lindgren although he does get banged up, he plays through pretty much everything. You want to get rid of him after the next contract fine, but one more contract with the rangers he should get, and deserves quite frankly

4x4 is probably ideal for Lindgren and not a killer for the Rangers

I just think and hope we could do better than him on our first pair. Miller is either that or the 2nd pair. So then 4x4 on your bottom pairing?

I can see this being the case. Just screams desperation from Drury. Trouba isn't the issue. It's a business, but can't be a GM who goes scorched Earth . Not a good look. Goodrow?....fine...Goodrow and Trouba..No bueno

I’d like to see
Miller Fox
Lindgren Schneider

If they did that for Lindgren it could help him not get as banged up

I feel Trouba would much rather get bought out. Still gets his money, gets to pick his team, and will get another contract with the new team

If trouba got bought out, he could sign with Devils or Islanders for one year very cheap and the wife can do this one year she has to do.

The comparison is due to wear and tear on each of their bodies from their style of play. Girardi was 30 when he signed his deal, which is the major difference here. I would be fine with 4x4, I don’t think Lindgren will be, but hope to be proven wrong

Then, barring any other changes, Jones-Trouba?

And we will continue to do so until five days the arb award or Lindgren signs. Then, ad nauseum anyway, even if Trouba remains, as I expect him to, unless he dealt.

I meant the whole “being ruthless is making no one want to play for us” nonsense

Trouba is owed 12 million dollars in cash so he’d get a check for 8 million in a buyout

I doubt he would care, he'd get 4mil per to stay home and watch his kid, then of course someone will sign him for 1.5 or 2 to play and of course it will then sign with an Eastern conference team.

First Trouba isnt going anywhere, Drury is trying line up a big deal to not only get younger but bigger and with an edge. The deal is with Ottawa with Brady Tchuck for Miller, Kakko, Perrault and a 1st in 25 & 26. Any takers?
