Much of Long Island has been blocked from receiving FIOS. It is a known issue. Optimum sucks and has been blocking them for years.

The NHL and New Era have come to a league-wide licensing agreement. New Era can now make licensed hats for all 32 NHL teams. There had been individual team deals before, Buffalo being most notable, but this is first league wide deal with New Era

i had upgraded to the optimum fiber. internet is great, but the TV (steamed off apple tv boxes now on fiber) is like 45sec to a minute behind fios. all playoffs i'd have to put my phone on do not disturb b/c the group texts would be so ahead of me.

My father has the same thing since he uses Fubo. He is like a minute or so behind.

That's funny because my parents have issues all the time with their service. They're on the brink of jumping ship to Fios also. They've had quite a few issues with both internet and cable.

I've also always hated the way some of the interface on the cable works. For a very long time you'd be in the guide and hit "OK" to tune to a channel/show and then a little menu would pop up asking you if you wanted to tune to the channel you just clicked OK for, or record the show, or something else I think. If I wanted to record the show I would have pressed the (frank)ing record button, not "OK"

I also enjoy that with the package I opted for with Fios, NHL Network was included at no extra cost. Never had that most of my life except in college and it's nice to spend less time cruising for sketchy pirated feeds of some things like the WJC's.

Newer model cable boxes are terrible. The interface on ours always seemed to work OK. But they are 10+ year old models.

Fios is no walk in the park either. I've had two cable boxes get fried out almost exactly a year apart. They're at least kind enough to overnight the new box, but you have to jump through all the customer service troubleshooting hoops first. Which includes them sending you a link to a one-way video chat so they can see exactly what's on your TV screen The internet has been very good though.

Yeah, that is pretty common. My only option is Optimum and i fucking hate it. If it wasn't for the Rangers, I wouldn't have cable. Call me stupid but I refuse to be on a delay. To many of my friends are Ranger fans and we talk during the games. Can't be minutes behind them. They would ruin everything for me

McDavid is certainly on his way to being one of the greats, but everyone on the Mt. Rushmore has at least 1 cup. Crosby willed his team to back-to-back cups and I'm not sure anyone had a better 3 year run than Crosby did:

I'm currently at like $205 (I think) a month for their 1GB internet and a mid-tier TV package. I don't have HBO but I honestly don't care enough to pay more for it

We're not asking Mcdavid if he would rather have cups. Obviously he wants the cups. If i had to choose prime Mcdavid or prime Crosby to start a team around i would choose Mcdavid. He is better in almost every way. In the ways he may not be better he is maybe marginally worse. He won a freakin conn smythe in a losing effort. I think we're getting too cute here with it. This doesn't mean that Crosby is not an all time great. He obviously is one of the best of all time.

Fleury had a .924 save % and had 9 of their 16 wins in those playoffs btw
