All this list does is show that the level of quality at the center position isnt particularly great compared to previous years.
Im still trying to understand what you're trying to prove... |

Brukie doesn’t believe injuries mattered vs Florida. It was a dig at him - Slimtj100
You are an enabler, you make excuses for these players and the clock keeps ticking, when will you hold players accountable for their play??? Its a matter of who wants it more, determination and heart. If you havent noticed, once the opponent brings their "A" game, these guys turtle up and check out. These guys have no heart. The oh we were so close, we made it to the ECF. Who cares about being "Close"?? Close doesnt win you poop!!
I know you dont want to hear it again but we have one Cup in 85 years!!! When will you start to hold players accountable???? |

PK is why I’ve so adamant about Zib. Because I’m pretty sure the best 3 PKs in the playoffs were Rangers, Oilers and panthers. It actually kept the Oilers alive as the series went along.
PK is just as important as 5 on 5, and this is kind of what drives me nuts here about Zib getting so much heat. Especially nowadays because have never been this potent. It’s crazy some numbers teams can put on the PP - Slimtj100
Jimmy Vesey is one of the best PK on the team, had 26 points in averaging 12 minutes a game, zero PP time, he makes 800k.
Mika is a great PK and had 72 points and averaged almost 20 minutes a game, out there for every PP costs us 8.5 million
Do you see the discrepancy?? |

What was Mikas injury again? Oh yeah, hurt vagina.
Fox may have had a bad knee but he was a turn over machine, he gave the puck away multiple times, missed his assignments in front of the net. His decisions with the puck were terrible. You dont make bad decisions because of a bad knee. - Brukie
Brukie, you have legitimate concerns about heart. I'm not refuting that.
But, if you think a knee injury doesn't result in turnovers, you aren't analyzing deeply enough. Fox is used to making guys miss even when he's standing still in a phone booth. When he doesn't have the ability to be elusive and create that extra moment that opens up a lane the way he has since he was a kid, of course it's going to amount to giveaways.
Should he still have been in those spots rather than playing Gus more or dressing Jones? Those would be fair questions. But, to blindly say the guy wasn't trying is flat out unfair. |

I didnt say Fox wasnt trying but his decision making process was terrible, multiple bad passes, give aways and missed assignments in the D zone. Yes I know he was hurt but his play was really atrocious. At this level he should have been a bit better, ok not to help the team but also not to hurt the team.
Im not down on Fox, hopefully he bounces back next year. |

Everyone looks at numbers and can come up with a slightly different outlook sometimes when comparing so many players.
I get it. |

Don't need to buy out Trouba...this season. If this mess happens next offseason, then it needs to happen. Need all the cap Drury can get with needing to sign extensions to Laf, Igor, Miller, Cuyle, Jones. |

It’s only 60% of your salary - picklerick
Only 60% is still over $4M and not doing anything for that team. |

Whoa...need to chill. You're talking as if the players didn't care and failed to try out there. Holy sh!t...they lost to the Cup champs...
The failure was at the trade deadline. The two main pieces Drury was able to obtain did not make an impact this time around; which they absolutely needed to (especially when one was on RW1). |

We dont have the capital to trade for a RW1 and if we did, we wouldnt have the Cap space.
The team needs to replicate their play in the playoffs as they play during the regular season. If they cant, then its on the players. |

I dont know about all that. I think Drury did what he could with what he had. The failure came in our top stars whether they were hurt, exhausted or just plain silenced. Rangers scored 1 PPG the whole series. |
