If he is such a cancer why acquire him and let him go to the locker room where your young players are playing? Does that make sense?
The Flyers already provided the doctors note did they not? Otherwise how would he get approved to be on the long term injured list. - furio16
Because they wanted a 1st round pick would be my guess.

OMG, what the hell has happened to this organization. Last year a recent draft pick decided he didn't want to play in Philly, then a veteran ( that has played all season ) decides he is hurt once he gets traded to the Flyers and now a recently drafted goalie changes agents to try to get out of signing with the Flyers. Not to mention the Carter Hart fiasco. Mr. Snider must be going bonkers up there seeing what Camillo and these other slugs, now running the show, have done to what was recently the pinnacle of sports ownership. - jtb3rd
Camillo is long gone, sir.
Great avatar though.

I do not agree with the contract Fedotov got, was most likely to pay off old team.
Kolosov hasn't earned a pricey contract in the NHL yet. So he goes back home where he doesn't have to prove himself to anyone rather than show the Flyers and other NHL teams he should get paid.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the great Shesterkin played in the AHL did he not. He did have a playing bonus which Kolosov does not but their base salary was the same. Would Shesterkin have made more money in the KHL?
Just face it, Kolosov missed his mommy and daddy and wanted to go home. - WhiskeyMan
Two different situations. Kolosov was only eligible for a ELC so he can't earn a pricey NHL contract at this point in time.
What's a playing bonus?
I doubt it's due to missing him mommy and daddy.

I agree based on the facts that we know. I also don't blame Kosolov one bit for preferring to make better money in his home country than get chump change playing for Lappy's Losers in Allentown. - Feanor
Man, I wish I could sign a contract and then change my mind whenever I want… |

He has rights within the framework of the contract. Every player does with any signed contract. Of course the language varies per the specific situation though. |

There was never a situation where ryjo was going to set foot in the locker room, especially when it was disclosed to them why they wanted to move him.
I have zero doubt torts was champing at the bit to send this guy down. |

Controversy is not exactly new to the Flyers. Look at Lindros; how they acquired him, when they almost killed him, and Lindros eventually refusing to play for the team. Pretty sure Mr. Snider was around then. Camillo? |

I for one am happy they are challenging RyJo. Hopefully some sort of mutual agreement happens and both parties move on.

Yes of course. My point is I do not think he is a cancer because if he was there is no way they take him on. 1st rd pick or not. |

Well he was waived so he was going to be in the LHV locker room. That’s what’s being discussed. |

Kolosov has such an I credible opportunity to actually play in the NHL this year. Who wouldn’t drool at the opportunity to be behind on Fedotov and Ersson on the depth chart. Injuries happen and this kid could get a call up and steal the #1 spot. It’s not like Patrick Roy is in his way. |

Sorry meant performance bonus not playing.
So when Shisterkin signed his ELC he was eligible for a different contract or was he only eligible to sign his ELC?

Ersson is clearly number 1. After that it is wide open in my opinion. Obviously Fedotov will get the backup role to start. Fedotov does not have a lock on that role though.
So I agree Kolosov has a reasonable shot of being on the Flyers this season or next.

the thing is no one knows what they are challenging.
Unless I am mistaken, the flyers doctors had to approve him going on the LTIR list. Are they challenging their own doctors? |

Somehow I missed that RYJO and Gauthier have the same agent.

It's the Flyers so anything is possible. I am not sure of the specific process for putting a player on IR though.

Ah I missed that
perhaps they knew he was never going to report. Him being around when the writing was on the wall wouldn’t concern me much, it was never going to be long term |

After the trade deadline, the Flyers placed Johansen on waivers to reassign him to AHL Lehigh Valley but were informed he had a hip injury. That caught the Flyers by surprise, as Johansen had played in every Avalanche game before the deal. In the Avalanche’s game on March 4 before the trade, Johansen saw 10:58 of ice time and finished his last shift with about one minute remaining in regulation of a 5-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. On the day of the trade, Johansen took part in Colorado’s morning skate.
My guess is that this has something to do with it. |

because DB wanted a first round pick for Walker and couldn't figure out a way to get it without taking Johansen back - Dkos Not sure why some are confused by this. They were aware he was a problem. They just did not care cause they got a first for a guy the took on in a salary dump. |

the flyers didn't want RYJO from the start. Waived him within minutes. They had such a need at center they didn't even want to give it a go. if they are worried about 1 guy hurting the "room" then that room is a bunch gina's then. I guess they didn't think it would go this far. Just learning on the job I suppose.
I am just looking forward to see what the flyers have on him. seems more than just an injury. then what will RYJO counter be. If they find the flyers termination isnt valid then what? Who is RYJO represented by?
What effect will that have down the line for the gold standard in attracting players. |

I guess he hurt it on the plane.

RYJO on the injured list which was approved by flyers and nhl doctors. Now a material breech at the end of august.
Cant wait to see how this shakes out and what the breech ends up being. If it is ruled the flyers were wrong in trying to terminate the contract any repercussions for them? - hello it's me 2050
The internet is saying that he was recently shown lifting his wife up in a wedding video which the Flyers may be using as evidence that he's faking his injury to avoid being sent to LHV or being BO. |
