the flyers didn't want RYJO from the start. Waived him within minutes. They had such a need at center they didn't even want to give it a go. if they are worried about 1 guy hurting the "room" then that room is a bunch gina's then. I guess they didn't think it would go this far. Just learning on the job I suppose.

I am just looking forward to see what the flyers have on him. seems more than just an injury. then what will RYJO counter be. If they find the flyers termination isnt valid then what? Who is RYJO represented by?

What effect will that have down the line for the gold standard in attracting players.

Is the Colorado room a bunch of “ginas” as you so eloquently put it?

There is some type of friction in most locker rooms. Nothing in that tweet says he is a cancer.

So it soured in the last 2 weeks it says. Do you know why? What was the story behind it?

Pronger and Richard’s clashed. Where they cancers?

simple question for a hockey guy like yourself. if 1 guy can "ruin" a "room", is that room really that tight or on the same page?

I can tell you for certain Richards was. Whether people like hearing it or not is a different issue. The stories I have about this guy are infuriating but I’ll save that for another day.

Friction is one thing. But when you have a known leader and winner who takes his room seriously like MacKinnon (we all know the food regimen he has his teammates on) and he has to walk himself to the front office and say get this guy outta here I think there is definitely something to that.

Another nhl coke head to boot

Apparently the Flyers felt Richards was a problem. Remember dry island. Remember trading him the season after going to the finals?

when the room is especially tight a self entitled vet coming in will stick out like a sore thumb. Obviously it was bad enough where MacKinnon had to take matters into his own hands

a tight room puts him in his place.

unless you have some specifics about ryjo being a cancer on the avs then not really much to talk about

well your way off base as usual.

never said all they do wrong. will give accolades when warranted. They haven't done much to get any accolades. They surely do not get the benefit of the doubt. I also have next to no faith they will get it right.

You have fellated over several regimes. you defend until the end. just like you defend the cutter debacle.

they cant change the college rules until Next CBA as I doubt the players association will go for any chnages now. what you propose will also likely never happen.

Kolosov has such an I credible opportunity to actually play in the NHL this year. Who wouldn’t drool at the opportunity to be behind on Fedotov and Ersson on the depth chart. Injuries happen and this kid could get a call up and steal the #1 spot. It’s not like Patrick Roy is in his way.
- mikeyo27

How do you know he would be behind Fedotov and Ersson? I would bet that if there was an injury to one of those players. There is a good chance that Petersen would get the call up while leaving Kolosov in the AHL

I for one am happy they are challenging RyJo. Hopefully some sort of mutual agreement happens and both parties move on.

If they win or settle the money comes off the cap. That provy trade could actually get even better if that is possible,.

Sorry meant performance bonus not playing.

So when Shisterkin signed his ELC he was eligible for a different contract or was he only eligible to sign his ELC?

- WhiskeyMan

Any player that signs an ELC, is only eligible for an ELC.

Dry Island was not specific to Richards. Carter was also traded and it was not about being a problem. It was mostly about the salary cap.

The internet is saying that he was recently shown lifting his wife up in a wedding video which the Flyers may be using as evidence that he's faking his injury to avoid being sent to LHV or being BO.
- Tomahawk

Flyers should have a fight on their hands. Love him or hate him, Ryan Johansson is a productive NHL player that seems to be getting blackballed by being sent to the AHL and now having his deal terminated.

Why put up with him when you don’t have to?

I don’t have stories of him as an Av. I heard some thing when he was a winterhawk but he was a kid so I don’t put much stock in that. There were stories of him and James Neal being a coked out version of Richard’s and Carter in Nashville but I don’t have any first hand info on that.

People have reputations for a reason. Unfair or not but if I had to listen to 2 sides, MacKinnon or RyJo? One of these guys has a history of being classy and respected and the other doesn’t. That’s what I’m going on I guess.

The Canes didn't terminate his contract, he was traded to Florida for James Reimer and Florida bought him out.

Frankly Carolina gave him more chances than they should have because he sucked.

- BINGO!

He wasnt terminated but they tried to.

Richards was worse and not because of drinking. Just treated everyone around him less than. Imagine how sh!tty you have to be to simultaneously piss off Pronger and lavi.

He felt his captaincy was being threatened and acted out like a child.

I know we'll never agree on this, but I have no doubt in my mind that Richards' (and Carter's to a lesser extent) behavior off ice led to them being moved.

The Flyers are his 4th team, Colorado wanted him gone, locker room cancer.
Flyers did not want a cancer in their locker room. Sent him to AHL, all of the sudden he is injured even though he played right before the trade.

They are now are calling shenanigans. Let him provide a doctors note saying he is injured.

The flyers were not going to be better with him on the ice.

- WhiskeyMan

I dont agree. They wanted him gone because he was a 4 mill cap hit and was producing like a 3rd liner. They saw an opportuniuty to leverage him in a deal with PHI. Danny wanted a 1st for Walker and no one offered that but Colorado which is why they took the deal.

Apart from that I dont know what is going on. Flyers dont have room for him. He should be in the minors but has a mysterious injury that prevented that. RyJo clearly slipped up somewhere because clearly the Flyers dont want him and they wouldnt just terminate if they didnt feel it would stick. They looked for a reason and apparently they found one.

The Flyers were completely within their rights to trade for Johansson and then waive him and once cleared, send him to the AHL. It does not matter how productive or what kind of player he was.

Sure

Kinda vague though. Did something? Did he snag the last Gatorade or sleep with someone’s wife? 😂
