So?

What do you mean, "so"? The refutations occur at every level of your claim.

The FBI does collect crime stats from Metro areas.
Those crime stats do show significant decline (relative to historical standards) in overall crime as well as violent crime.

What? Just 2 days ago I linked to the central FBI database with updated crime stats for all the large metro areas.
- PT21

More than 6,000 law enforcement agencies were missing from the FBI’s national crime data last year, representing nearly one-third of the nation’s 18,000 police agencies. This means a quarter of the U.S. population wasn't represented in the federal crime data last year, according to The Marshall Project’s analysis.

The other way around, surely.

Sorry to hear that, but honestly, if you beat the poop out of them, technically, it could be aggravated assault unless you can prove that the extent of the retaliation is proportional to the threat.

If say an unarmed man breaks in, and you shoot him, that could be homicide unless you can prove he was about to physically harm you. That is the law.

- PT21

Are you saying that he i hit him first??? clarify this

I fully understand Philly and Pa's home invasion and gun laws......think about what you wrote....i was struck twice, first. The individual wasnt stopping and I had to defend myself. At what point am I able to do so. How long or to what point if injury (inflicted or potential) is one supposed to absorb before one is able to defuse the threat.....

TK and Tippett together SHOULD get the most attention from other teams, Foerster & Coots SHOULD provide defensive awareness to go with Michkov's rookie year, Lot of question marks with the 3rd line, but end up being good depth with matchups and I like the 4th line.

Personally that lineup looks much better with a true #1 center...but oh well.

Tippett-Frost-Konecny
Foerster-Couturier-Michkov
Farabee-Cates-Brink
Laughton-Poehling-Hathaway

Deslauriers

Needs a top 4, but I would rather have Zamula and Seeler swap, but Z and JD could become a defensive hazard. Seeler with Risto could open Risto up with a bounce back offensive year.

York-Sanheim
Seeler-Drysdale
Zamula-Ristolainen

Johnson

Good enough for now.

It's nice for Jett to get a look, but realistically, what does he have to prove/do to get a roster spot this year? Unless he completely meshes well with Mitch, I just can't see him spending this year in NHL.

Has anyone commented if Forester's skating looks improved?

Just have to trade Laughton and Deslauriers to get down to 13 fowards.
- jd250
they have zero appetite to trade laughton. They can waive ND though that also isnt an option. Gold standard teams do not do that.

The coach/CO-GM wants to get to the playoffs and win. if the jett can help him he will push to keep him. what would be funny is they trade frost to make room.

Graph is probably done by the same people who make graphs that say that bidenomics is working.

The people who are living through it know better than any propaganda graph.

yes but will those poeple get out and vote as early and often as the left does? Here in Boston my vote in federal elections, well even state elections, doesn't matter since my stupid state of MA will vote for Harris 80-20 automatically. But Penn has a HUGE impact to the upcoming election, so I sincerely hope people there get their early voting ballots and show up strong.

Depends on the jurisdiction actually. That’s the law. In most American States there is no duty to retreat within your own home. The test, generally (as I cannot speak for all jurisdictions only my own), is that “would a reasonable person believe that they are in danger”. The test is objective not subjective and a sudden home invasion, again in my own jurisdiction, the use of deadly force is permissible and does not require a proportional use of force. Also, if one is in a “stand your ground” jurisdiction, the use of deadly force in one’s own home is generally presumed a valid use of deadly force. Things may be different where you are but I wanted to make sure you understood the nuances of the law.

There is no deterrence and a revolving door with no cash bail for those that steal cars. I suspect that you don’t live here in Canada however it’s well known that there is an epidemic of vehicle theft especially in the gta and Montreal. The cars are stolen, shipped overseas in shipping containers with many ending up in Africa.

Here’s a link to the story I was referring to.

Stop making sense! Statistics are always manipulated to depict any desired outcome. We learned that back in high school. What happens in real life, and what you are exposed to, forms the basis of one’s opinion.

If they shot the perpetrator's of these crimes, I guarantee auto theft would go down by more than 90%! Everything else that’s been tried is all window dressing. I have no patience or sympathy for someone coming to steal my sh!t, or harm people I care about. Though harsh, my method works.

No, No.

You wrote their statements were that they hit you many times first. Surely their statements would be the other way around.

I am very sympathetic to your situation. All I am saying is, the law essentially is that the physical response has to be proportional to demonstrable threat.

Fair enough. In his case, perhaps the issue was him chasing them down. In which case, those stand your ground type laws may not apply.

I remember the case some years back when a German high school exchange student went trick or treating in Minnesota I think, and ended up at the wrong house and was legally shot dead.

This is precisely the problem. Data is manipulated or omitted to produce the desired outcome. Besides the FBI stopped being a credible agency years ago, when a lawyer was appointed director, instead of a career agent. Now it’s another political agency with an agenda. Sad…..

In Philadelphia, you can shop lift all you want as long as the total is less than $500. Why when you go into Wal-Mart, everything is locked up. Alvin Bragg is busy downgrading felonies in NYC. Nothing but liberal left propaganda.

You think that crime reports are generated only if someone is charged?

No, seriously, are you on drugs?

- PT21

You are on drugs if you think 20, 30, 40 crimes were logged after that incident. The only crime that will be "logged" is when the people say it's racist that the Apple store shuts its doors because it can't afford to stay open anymore because people can wantonly steal all its merchandise without repercussions or consequences.

I procured the preeminent defense attorney in the city. Before my preliminary trial, the DA's office re investigated. They concluded that my account was accurate but since I gave chase and did not have definitive proof that it was the individuals in question, they couldnt drop the charges but they didnt want to fully prosecute me. They offered me ARD, which I took. My attorney said that if we went to trial we would almost certainly beat it but there is not guarantee, plus the time and cost. ARD guaranteed that my record would be expunged, if I did not do anything illegal during the ARD time frame

Dude, I literally linked to the FBI site that provides you with metro data. Not only is there data, it shows the same stats that is true for the nation as a whole.

Here is the post again.

I was able to find the official crime stats. Needless to say, violent crime (and all crime) in NYPD is available, and follows the general trend of large declines.
