In my opinion the best skater and stickhandler at high speeds, behind McD

Kaprisov is not really an explosive skater, but he does have excellent edge work so he's very stable and agile. Keeps moving to open areas which is a very underrated trait. Believe Barzal is actually the fastest measured puck carrier in the league.

A lot can change in the two years he has left on his contract on the off chance that there is some legitimacy to this rumor. I'll withhold any excitement

Why? You would do the exact same if put in the same position. He has some leverage in that the Bruins already launched Ullmark, and has proven to be a very reliable tender.

Wouldn't you do what you could to maximize your earnings?

Don't you know that most fans would just be gracious to play a sport professionally and would take massive pay cuts for the sake of their team? After all, I'm sure these same fans take pay cuts to do their current jobs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ullmark struggles with a young Ottawa team.

And 95+% of fans, including me, do jobs that many thousands of people can do just as well. Simply economics of supply and demand.

It's past the point of maximizing his earnings though. Accepting the 64 million would've maximized his earnings. He hasn't earned 8 million a year yet and that's paying him on potential.

He's held out for too long and is hurting his earning potential now. Players in any sport who hold out this long rarely get what they're looking for. Who's the last player to actually win when attempting this? Yashin?

Everyone can say weather he’s worth the money or not, bottom line he is worth what someone is willing to pay. Bruins can be all outraged over this but Cam needs to look in the mirror and realize by trading Ullmark when they did they allowed for this to happen. Bad business decision , own it ! Trade Sway to Utah I think that would work for both teams. Colorado could work . It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if they did a deal with Yzerman in their own division that’s the intellect of these managers. What stupid avoidable story this is !

A trade isn't going to work. Who's going to give up enough to make it worth it for the Bruins and then turn around and give Swayman 80 million?

Millionaires and billionaires playing chicken with financials is lame. Pay the (frank)ing man and play hockey. If he never lives up to the contract, then it's the Bruins' albatross to bear (bad contracts are not exactly rare). Join the club Cam.

If he wins a Cup like Bob, then the money is worth it.

Nobody is going hungry here or getting evicted.
