I think Krebs would actually be a solid target. They can give him 2nd/3rd line center role and just let him play. Flyers can make a hockey trade. Sabres are a more win now team. Adams needs to have a good year. Maybe a guy like Laughton can help Buffalo. Can you do a straight Krebs for Cates deal?

I agree. Have to take the rumor with a grain of salt but there is zero reason why the Flyers need to go out and trade for a center. For what? To win what? They have plenty of players that can play center. If they crash, so what! Take the fricken draft pick for heavens sake.

They don't need a 3rd or 4th line center. They need a 1st line center and there is 0 pressure to acquire one right now. If there is a 25 or younger 1st line center out there then sure it makes sense, but how often does a Jack Eichel get traded... That type of player could indeed be Luchanko, but that would still be a few years away before he evolves. Also a smart hockey fan would know that resigning TK only gives them an asset to trade if that is the direction they want to go.

Are there any 25 or younger centers available? If so, thats the discussion.

Also, a pens fan talking about rebuilds is rich. We look forward to the next time that franchise can no longer afford payroll, then the other GMS have to literally take over payment of their salaries for a period of time and or they have to give equity in trade to their superstars in order to prevent the franchise from moving to KC.
