I do not understand the mentality of being happy with just making the playoffs. Because Garth was so bad, we should not expect more? You cannot fool NY fans. They can tell the difference between a legit team and a mid team.

Right! Why would you even want to continue to limp around every season though? Why not just rebuild the right way so you can be good for a number of years. Team is not a prime UFA spot anyway even if you have more Cap space. Built it right so you get to a point you will be more attractive to high end players.
