Not a lot of high danger shots and the Bruins had a few PP’s piled on top of that, regardless, hopefully the boys bought Lankinen a few beers last night.

15 games tonight on the NHL schedule, a full night of hockey action with my Flyers, Canucks, Sharks and Red Wings all in action.

Team should literally take Lankinen out for the most expensive dinner/wine ever for that effort last night.

No thanks, it has nothing to do with politics. It’s for golfing, who was talking about camping in northern Arizona. Stop trying to police the thread and fuck right off…thanks again.

There is a “chance” Demko starts tonight for VAN. GM said it was a “game time decision”. #Canucks

Edit: Ricky D says he’s not playing tonight.

Lankinen most underpaid player in NHL.

Kick-start Crosby to Canucks conversation with pens next. What would it take ... Lekkerimaki + 1st rounder?

It would take too much and never happen lol unless...the JTM situation is more long term and he ends up gone.

Ya him re-upping probably means it could only happen next year at earliest. With the pens connection on this team, where the pens are and the fact that canucks are in their window, one can dream. What does the guy have left to accomplish other than bringing a cup to Canada!

Yeah Crosby is so great and would be awesome to have him here albeit a short time via the PIT connection with Rutherford. It will take much more than Crosby however to get a cup here our defense needs a'fixin...again lol.

Please, no.
The Canucks have tried that a couple of times in the past. It didn't work out so well.

I agree with part of your post from yesterday, get Lankinen signed longer term, send Silovs to Abby..

I like Crosby but would not really want to mortgage the future for a year or two.

So where is this imminent move for David Jiricek that doesn’t involve the Canucks, “according to Frank”

I've read Crosby is thinking (Currently) to break the record for longest tenured captain of a team in league history, which I think is currently held by Yzerman? I doubt he waives any time soon, esp after signing an extension.

I can't decide if the Canucks are in any kind of cup window right now. They only won 1 round last season. Petey only coming out of a long term funk and still needs to find another gear. Our other top 6 C just had a mental breakdown and we don't even know when he's coming back and of course we don't know if there is more to the story or not. How will he play? The team has been better defensively since he's been gone and the PP has greatly improved without his terrible puck handling and his lack of ability at keeping the puck in the zone up high. Our starting goalie is injury prone and been on the mend for 8 months. Who knows what his season will look like. Only last season some people in here were convinced that Silovs was the future and Demko should go. Now people are doing the same with Lank. He's hot... but caution should be applied to that logic.

Then there is the defense conversation. I think the team needs a costly upgrade to sort that out just to get Canucks to play off contender. As the roster stands right now, it's iffy.
