A sign of the times. In the 1970s when I was a kid - let's say I was around 8 and so it was around 1978 - there was a car show where I grew up. They had a Lamborghini Countach at the show - and I had actually been there earlier in the day. Later in the day I was out with my friend (as all kids had to be during daylight hours in the 70s) and the Countach was parked on the side of the road. We ran up to it and the guy offered to give us a ride in it - so my friend and I - individually because it was a 2-seater - each got in and he gave us a ride around the block in the Lambo.
It was a thrill.
If my kid came home when he was 8 and told me he did that, I'd have staked him by a collar to the ground so fast you'd have thought he was Prometheus.
Come to think of it I never saw my friend again. But man it was a thrill!

They took Hagel because of Cooper. They left better players off because of bias, not because they know more about hockey.
Seth Jarvis is just stupidity. At least 10 players better than him.
Wilson, Stamkos, Hyman, Tavares, Schiefele, Bedard, Verhaeghe, Lafreniere and those are just the ones off the top of my head. |
