George Harrison was the most talented Beatle, once the late 80's and 90's rolled around. McCartney was pretty much spent by 1986, while Harrison put out great albums like Cloud 9 and the Traveling Wilbury's albums. Always thought that George was underrated, while in the Beatles. By Abbey Road, his music was actually better than Lennon and McCartney. Died way too soon. - PrinceLH
Seconded on Harrison.

The point is that he has already answered these questions from these same people numerous times. Just because they rephrase it or reposition it doesn't change the fact that it's the same question from the same person.
He did answer the (frank)ing question and he tried to move on.
That's my point. - Monkeypunk
Exactly. This market is flooded with useless media that just try and get clicks to keep their job a float. Problem is there is a lot of people that suck at their jobs. Media included.

Meh, nothing burger. (frank) the press. They should stop asking players about their PRIVATE injuries. Period. A person is NOT obligated to reveal that to anyone.
Obviously if you tell the press you had your shoulder fixed the first thing the opposing team is going to do his try to re-injure that shoulder. Dumb to think otherwise. - underhill14[/quote]
This has been debunked by so many players/analysts etc.
Ths isnt the 1980/90's hockey.
All these players are friends or hang out outside of the game. No one is going to purposely try to reinjure someone |

Mathews complaining about people researching the reason for his trip to Germany this time.. But Mathews and Marner in particular have a habit of it. - Azuredoom
The media is ridiculous. It has gone way too far and I like the players not giving into the bs. |

Looks like it is not happening |

The fans and nhl have created the demand.
Social media has created the vehicle.
Everyone wants to be the first and the gamblers and fans (a good portion) want to know everything about everyone.
Its an evil cycle.
But it is what it is. Eliminate the mystery, report any sport related injury and be done with it.
Me personally, i dont care either way. I dont pay that close of attention to what goes on with the team. But there are alot that are way to into it. |

For me it's Who and Cares.
I don't know if it's geographical issues or something else but you can't help but feel that Shapiro and Atkins have run this team down. Players talk. I can tell you that the room is not cohesive. The players on that team hate - HATE - Ross Atkins. He's not a baseball guy and he's not respected. Even on a human level - guys are struggling with injury, they'll get a call from Atkins or Shapiro - and it's never, "How are you? How's the injury? How's the family?" . . . it's straight to, "If the media asks you about 'x', you're going to say 'y', understood?"
Baseball players talk to one another - I think those guys are exactly the problem here. Someone like Paul Beeston or Paul Godfrey before him were highly respected by peers, agents and players.
I could be wrong, but it feels like a lot of guys select Toronto either for the larger paycheque or because they have limited options left. Neither of those necessarily involves coming here because they want to win.
Ultimately I don't think they make any progress until Rogers puts on their big boy pants and gets rid of this clown show. |

Surprised the Zez-meister hasn't started posting ticket prices yet for tonight's game. Seems like a good one to go to on the cheap.
I'm seeing 2nd deck low rows (one set of row 1's in section 305 which is the end greens) for $167.50 per seat already and it's not even noon yet! |

Maybe that's why there are so many seats for sale. lol
Good lord I just looked at standing room seats - face value of them is $138.25 FOR STANDING ROOM
I don't kn0w that I'll ever pay face value for seats again....I'm sure if I ever go to playoff games again I'll end up paying over face value but for regular season it just doesn't make sense to do so, especially with 'dynamic' pricing which is an even bigger rip off.
Friend of mine manages season tickets for someone. Corner greens row 10 for the Sat pm game vs Oilers were just over $500 for the pair. That's just insane.
