I was one of the biggest Marner haters last year.

Marner is a (frank)ing incredible player. My hate is his softness, especially in the playoffs. He looks much better this year and depending on how he does in the playoffs, pay him and keep him.

Cap is going up. JTs cost is going down.

The Leafs will have a ton of cash and cap space to tweak this roster which is really strong this year.

Best G situation in years.
Best D situation in years.
Same forward situation pretty much but much stronger play.

If there is a 3C/2LW.....aka Kadri...available at the deadline you grab him and run all the way to the Cup.

This team is ready. I see that now.

The Cap restraints of years past are finally working themselves out and we could be headed in the right direction. Pay Marner somewhere between Willy and Matthews. Pay JT somewhere between nothing and $4m. Pay Knies $6-7 for 8 years as fast as they can.

Keep them all. Tweak around the edges. Win the (frank)ing Cup.

Knies, Matthews, Marner
Patches, JT, Willy
Minten/little Willy, Kadri, Domi
McMann, Dewar, Lorentz/Reaves

McCabe, Tanev
Rielly, Hakanpaa
OEL, Timmins
Benoit

Stoli
Woll

2 or 3 Cups with that line up...(replace Patches in the summer)

My issue with Marner is that his potential never seemed to live up to his contract - especially during the playoffs.

Maybe this season he's put on his big boy pants and is now elevated himself to bonafide superstar position? Hope he can translate it all when it counts most: during a Stanley Cup run.

Having said that, I'm not looking forward to a primarily playmaking winger earning 13M+ going forward - even with the cap increasing year-on-year.

Went to purolator to ship out a hockey jersey I sold - what a total gongshow.

With the Canada Post strike they are slammed! I went mid day as I thought it would be the quietest time - line up outside the doors. Almost 30 minute wait.

When I got within 5 or 6 people from the front of the line I noticed the self serve kiosk(there is only one) that was not being used by anyone. Asked a couple people in front of me if they were going to use it and everyone "noped" me.

I used it and was in and out 5 minutes later.

As I was walking away a guy couldn't' get to it fast enough lol.

It's awesome, it weighs and measures the dimensions of your package, you type in the info and pay (debit machine attached to it) and it prints out your label and receipt, drop the package in the bin and your gone.

I should have just gone right to it before waiting nearly 30 minutes, the guy working said nobody seemed to want to use it - he even said he kept telling the line about it all morning but nobody took him up on it so he stopped suggesting it.

sound about right, most who dont ship a lot want to talk to the person.

I send 5 or so packages a week, have had to switch to UPS and Fedex. but i just print the labels at home and just drop the stuff off. no need to talk to anyone

The shipping rates in Canada are just insane.

Hockey jersey in a VERY small box (like I had to cram it in there and hold it down and tape it shut or it would have popped open) from Barrie to Kitchener.

Cheapest rate was $44 bucks after taxes.

That is criminal IMO.

UPS and fedex are higher if you dont have discounts or commercial account for sure.

probably could have sent it with CP for under $20..but strike...

I am convinced that a huge part of Amazon's success is simply the shipping service. This is especially true for international. Because my family is in Florida, I can shop for them on-line and ship it right to their homes. Even though I hate Bezos, the service is too convenient.

Agreed - and with a prime account you often get free shipping etc.
The Amazon Prime account is a pretty good value for money investment IMO

The gas was already made and in my tank…

It would be a waste to not burn it, and harder on the environment.

If you want to have a really good laugh, go to Ticketmaster.com and look at Sabres tickets.

$13.80 USD will get you in the building.

Yeah.

My (former) Step-mom and his mom were best friends. There had cottages beside each other on Lake Rosseau, and worked for the same real estate company in Port Carling. They always made me hang out with him haha. They even sent me to (frank)in’ summer camp with him.

So surreal.

YES.

They have the 18th ranked powerplay. Outside of about 4 good games, it's been craptacular. Savard seems out of ideas and plays. There's got to be someone else with some input.

- Monkeypunk

I think it is pretty obvious.

They know they can go back to the Rielly well whenever they want to.

They want Knies up there getting PP reps. I 100% get giving a unit a run.

Need multiple options when the games actually count.

If they get Kadri, where will they fit McDavid in a couple years ?

I don't know whether it is possible or how much McDavid likes it in Edmonton.

I do think that if there is a chance, the Leafs will make it happen somehow. It isn't out of the realm of possibility.

I was at the game last night, sitting in really good seats (not my usual ones).

I've never, ever seen a player with better edging and footwork than Marner. It's redonkalabonk.
