Soto was never coming to the Jays. The Jays are more than a soto away from contending and Boras knew that.
Alonso probably resigns with the mets.
The Jays should either bandaid the team and sign Fried, Scott, hoffman, Bregman or walker, Santander and Hernandez.
If you cant sign all of the above, trade Bo and vlad and blow it up because you arent competing againts the orioles, yankees and rays.

Ek mentions the obvious and Giroux being available eventually.

Never knew how good he was at faceoffs. Last 3 years he has had basically 60% in each season including this one.

If they can't get ROR or Nelson he is a good option.

they would be fine adding 1 good bat and a starter. the bullpen, thats a different story.
but as is with nothing changed they are projected around 86 wins. thats with a few players returning to norms, mainly Bo

so its not as dire as you make it, but it would be nice to add 4 good pieces

In all seriousness her family means a lot to me now to so actually being a part of it in this way is profound. I'm a gen Xer and never been married so goes to show you never know.

Ya we've seen these projections based on internal improvement or players "returning to normal form" before. Cannot count on that.
Get two bats, a legit starter, and bullpen....project higher than 85 93 wins.
