The Toronto Blue Jays are finalizing a trade with the Cleveland Guardians to acquire second baseman Andrés Giménez, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Giménez is a three-time Gold Glove winner and was the recipient of the 2023 Platinum Glove in the American League.

The 26-year-old slashed .252/.298/.340 with 63 RBIs and 30 steals last season, which came two years after he posted an .837 OPS and finished sixth in AL MVP voting.
