Good interview with Bryan McCabe on spittin chicklets. Talks about those leaf runs in early 2000’s.

Also talks about having one of the top powerplay for a few years and said they just did what they wanted. Coach didn't coach it.

I think this is what this leafs pp needs. Throw the playbook out and just have them use their talent. It literally can’t get worse.

all that is fair, and I dont really care about losing Horwitz, wasnt really a fit for him

but they need more bats..that hit..so if they dont fill that gap big time, its going to be tough sledding hoping a player improves his hitting...to league average. or replacement level.

More to come…..

For me, the biggest issue is their inability to generate runs
Leadoff single, can’t advance runner past 1st
Steal 2nd
Bunt or grounder to right side to advance runner to 3rd
Sac fly to score him
Seems like they forgot the basics

Really don’t want Bregman
That won’t age well

Flaherty or Alonso (moves Vlad to 3rd 😬)
Sasaki or Pivetta too

And I would still consider Arenado or Bellinger retained

Alonso im torn on. also Santandar. could be realy good or fall flat..both have risks.

Would love burnes, but that doesnt seem likley. so backup plan?

also I missed that the jays resigned Yimi Garcia

Jays need two bats a starter and 2 bullpen.
Simply no cash for that.
Alonso will probably re-sign with the mets.
Go after Santander and manaea and some cheap bullpen....probably all they can do.

A. Nylander on waivers. He was really unimpressive in the games he played.

Not surprised. Nothing offensively, very little defensively. Just a dude who will skate well randomly.
