Yes and no.
I think he's annoyed every time someone needs a big power forward and Brady's name comes up. As Elliot pointed out on HNIC..."it's just part of the noise of the game---deal with it Ottawa"

Of course it is tampering. But you can't prove it. All a team does is let an agent or the local know know through back channels that they are interested in a certain player. Basically the news gets out that certain teams are interested even if the player is still got years under contract. Its like telling that player that should you want a change of address we are interested .... oh .... and don't renegotiate a new contract .... come and talk to us first.
It is tampering, but again .... no proof .... no email chain or recordings.

I just find it a bit amusing that against a team of Ottawa's stature (low on the totem pole) that the NHL turns a blind eye. So, a player like Tkachuk becomes a UFA in 3.5 seasons and lots of talk of "we're interested", and yet a player like McDavid becomes a UFA 1.5 more seasons and we hear of no specific interest in him. Because teams know they can get away with it against teams like Ottawa, but don't even think about a tamper with a player like McDavid.

I think he is more frustrated that every time the Tkachuk name is brought up it's Matthew demanding out to win in Florida even though the situations are completely different. Brady signed long term, got named the captain. Matthew (frank)ed around with short contracts and didn't want to stay.

Maybe Brady will get there, but they aren't the same person.
