Did Hronek actually play any games in Abby? Too lazy to look. |

No. Tocchet made it clear a couple of days ago he wasn't touching the ice for an AHL game. |

Brannstrom on waivers - VanHockeyGuy
Hopefully he clears, but if he's claimed it is what it is. Brisebois has been just fine in his call up and hasn't looked out of place. Hopefully Hronek is ready to return on the home stand. |

How does Brannstrom get sent down while Desharnais stays? To me, Desharnais is a waste of a contract. |

The same question could be asked about Noah. I think every follower of this team could make a case to send someone down that isn't named Hughes or Hronek.

I think it's been a fun and entertaining ride. Still hanging in there through some of the worst adversity this group has faced. Still a half a season to go. |

Thx Yorkie
13:22 TOI for Miller.
Myers finished with the most ice time on the Canucks with 23:52. Had 2 assists and was +2 for those interested. - Load Management
The Hughes bump
Jets will be a tough test & might be an indicator if the boyz can get it on the tracks & stop the tendency to be flat. Have the feeling more good is to come here on in. Find that identity boyz. |

What is Poutyās salary as a percentage of the cap? About 13%? Is that terrible? His production this season needs to be better but the kidās been so consistent over his career:
443 games, 180 goals, 261 assists, 441 points, +53
The team isnāt paying $11M+ for the results of this season, they are paying for the stats above, which are insanely good. Most players in the game today who have stats like that are making $10M - $11M+ a season now. Itās a gross amount of money but thatās the business, and if the Canucks want to compete, they gonna have to pay for goals and assists. - bloatedmosquito
13% is a ton of cap. Contract is about stats for sure with Wās at the top. The rest will take care of itself. Others are not off the hook. |

I should have said that Iām disappointed with certain players and management as I hoped for progression from last season. The leadership that I thought was so strong last season seems nonexistent this season, from coaching down to on-ice leaders.
The term āvibeā is overused, but thereās definitely a different team vibe now compared to the one during the two rounds of playoffs. |

This whole Pouty or Miller trade question seems so shortsighted to me. While Millerās āwarriorā aura is attractive to a certain type of hockey fan, stats donāt lie. Pouty is a far better player over his career than Miller.
Pouty has the potential to get better while Miller is going to decline with age, and weāre already witnessed what the pressure of being āthe guyā has done to Millerās soft brain. He absolutely melted under the pressure and scrutiny.
For me, Miller HAS to go. I have no faith in that clown and I believe the team has lost their faith in him too. - bloatedmosquito
I agree mostly but Millers time in Van has been impressive. Petey is just outright impressive overall. Only measuring stick is what they do here.
As for potential that is of course a long term outlook. Odds are Miller will decline. At 8m itās not substantial as the cap rises it will be how much he declines at what rate. Becoming a good 2C through his remaining contract is doable.
If Miller goes so be it hockey is a biz. Sooner is better for the return being in season or the offseason. Itās a dicey move but in PA we trust. |

I donāt think Poutyās soft in the sense that heās scared to go to the hard places, but soft in the sense that every time he goes into the corner I think heās going to break in half.
He just such a twig.
For me, my biggest issue is his aloof personality. I felt the same with Naslund. I can see how it drives guys like Miller nuts. - bloatedmosquito
On the latter I agree but heās intense & yet introverted. Iām extroverted so he makes me go crazy lol
Need more on the ice & in the room leaders let some players be all on the ice only leaders. Team dynamics will never be a cut dried make up. |

I 100% agree with your highlighted statement. His best years by far have been in a Vancouver jersey so why is he (frank)ing around like he is. Just play the (frank)ing game.
Saying that, his Canuck accomplishments is not all on him. The Canucks have put him in a situation to succeed. There should be some sort of gratitude from him but itās hard to see. |
