Petey and Miller are going NOWHERE - nor do either of them "have to go"

Whatever minor issues they had with each other (have clearly been delt with behind the scenes, as evidence both players have ceased to mention it in nearly a month)

The Van media - which is an embarrassment to the team BLEW this story up due to HACK "journalists/ism" and should be exposed and called out from now on with any further mention of the topic.

Both players commented on it and are done talking about it, if it was a REAL problem something significant would have been done by now.

Bigger problems at hand - MOVE ON

Most telling quote from Tocchet's interview with Imac:

"I've (spent) a lot of energy around different things."

Tocc and Hughes are sick of the drama trade the biggest pouter on the team (Miller)

Tocchet: "It seems like every other day there's something that's been thrown on our plate. I've (spent) a lot of energy around different things. There's holes in the dyke and you've got (only) so many fingers."

I'm surprised Miller hasn't been shot out of a canon to some US team already.

Miller's been running around trying to plug up the dyke holes with another appendage

Figure if he didn't have a NTC he'd be traded by now

Hell ya he does. The team's inability to start a game with urgency is as much on him as it is the players.

They have half the coaching staff they had last season, at least behind the bench.

I don't care who goes 1st, Miller, Pouty, Boeser, Demko etc. Just start clearing out the holes in the dyke.

Agreed that one of the pouters has to go, I hate Miller more and he's older, so in my opinion he should go 1st.
Then Boeser.
Demko will be an off season move.

I would be fine with that, although I think I may have mentioned that I am not a fan of Pouty.

For all that we're concerned about the 2nd coming of Quinn Hughes, but goes by Eric Brannstrom, he cleared waivers.

You have to promise me you’ll try warm honey butter on fresh bread. There’s nothing like it. Just warm up a mixture of butter and honey (measurements of each is to your individual taste).

I actually think the Canucks brass is playing the media. Reminds me too much of the Horvat situation. They said just enough to provoke and allow the media to run with it until they could extract the best return.

Whoops I accidentally flagged you. I honestly don't think management wants to get rid of any of the big names on this team. They want to keep the potential of the 2 headed monster of Miller and Petey in the playoffs, and I think they might try to keep Demko around past his current deal too. It would be a gamble of potentially getting Vezina-caliber goaltending for way under market value due to the injury history

Via Sportnet

Hronek has been sidelined since suffering an injury on Nov. 27 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Canucks announced that the 27-year-old underwent a lower-body procedure on Dec. 3, for which the recovery time was estimated to be eight weeks.

I thought Hronek was out with a separated shoulder?
i'm no doctor, but i would have thought that would be upper body, no?

He hurt his shoulder but was already dealing with a lingering lower body injury. When he was forced out with the shoulder, they did a procedure on what I guess was his knee and determined it didnt need surgery. This was announced a couple of days after he left the line up. They also announced no surgery needed for the shoulder. Sportsnet i just doing their usual poopty job of keeping track of what is happening.

Team is getting healthier it seems with Hronek about to join the line up. Add Dak back and Canucks would be fully healthy for the first time all season!

Good for a second half run to secure a play off spot. Buy in is there. Everything else is just noise from pouty potty people and media.

This is not a new phenomenon. He’s been out to lunch for a very long time. I really hope Boeser and Miller are packaged at the TDL should the Canucks be out of a playoff spot. If they aren’t though, they’ll probably try and add a little something.

If they're out of the race by the TDL, it'll definitely make things interesting around here.

It seems like if they were going to make a big shakeup, they would have done so by now.

I imagine that mgmt want to see what the team looks like when healthy and give them a further shot to go on a run.

i'm ok with patience.

We all know that the TDL is when teams become desperate and overpay. Let's hope the canucks can cash in!
