There is no doubt in my mind Torts wants to make the playoffs and is coaching that way. The fact that he has mentioned "pissing away points" several times already is a clue. Briere needs to just trade some verterans, bring up Andrae and more kids and give Torts no other choice. If this year is about evaluating players, they kind of need to play, right?

Tanking is the job of the GM, they decide on how bad the team is by keeping or trading away players. Look at what Chicago did the season before they got Bedard.

JD250…. Drysdale just needs to stay healthy and no steps back. Get more involved in the offense and just hold his own on the defensive end. Lot of runway for him to prove himself . Hard not to have doubts.

I can't believe they are still paying Kovalchuck. Tatar and Bastian are solid candidates, other than them I don't see much.

Crosby less points than TK and a -17, time catches all, probably has another good season coming though

He also said Lycksell wasn't sure of some coverages because he hasn't been up with the big club. Which led me to wonder once again why they aren't at least playing the same general coverages/system down in Lehigh? It makes no sense to me and never has. They don't have to play exactly the same, but at least get a general plan going.

But a buddy said because every 3 or 4 years you changing the coverages to the next nhl coach
And trying to develop a player to learn 1 coverage for 2 years then all of a sudden switch to another coverage would slow the player development

Crosby, 48 points in 46 games. Time has not caught up to him. poopty GMing has caught up to the team. Plus/minus is a BS stat for a player. Should be attributed to all 5 players on the ice.
