Two of their best players - an older guy and a younger guy just coming into his prime - are said to absolutely franking hate each other.

It's a terrible situation - even the club president has said that it's unrepairable.

Realistically, they are going to have to trade both guys, and will probably get pennies on the dollar. It's going to set the team back 2-3 years.

It just really sucks. It sucks so bad, in fact, that I'll probably go and troll other teams' threads today, because I can't bear to face the reality. Yeah, it's a cowardly thing to do. What can I say?

Leafs do not have anyone to offer for Cozens, they will want a similar young player with term back.

Even if they did want picks a team like Nashville has 5 1sts and a strong prospect pool and will outbid them.

The Atlantic division and wildcard spots are a battle royale. So many teams separated by so few points. I don't recall seeing this crowded of a playoff field at this point in the season.

It would be entertaining for sure. I'm not one of those people who would suddenly start liking him because he's on my team. Kind of like when Perry came to Tampa. I liked it when he helped them win games, but I still thought he was a douchebag and would not have brought him in if I was GM.

I would cheer for him, I hate him because he is a poop disturber and is good at it.

Fully expecting the Panthers, TB or Sens getting him and the Leafs still needing to face him even though the bruins miss the playoffs

But I would pay the price, I think it would really put some confidence into that room.

He seems like the kind of player that won't be afraid to come in, get vocal, and teach all the pansies on this team that losing is not an acceptable outcome. This team likes to win, but they don't hate losing enough.

C'mon, fellas: can you imagine how much time Marchand would spend in the box with a Leafs crest on his jersey?

Giving up the Bruins' amulet of immunity would make Marchand a lot less effective.
