I also thought his performance in last years playoffs was going to jump start his superstardom. Remember thinking he was the next captain once they got rid of Trouba. He was playing with a lot of passion. Disappointed in this season to say the least.

Hard to evaluate this year as everyone has dropped down two levels. Laf just sticks out more bc of the new deal and hes a 1OA. I would trade him for the right player but rather he work out here.

Miler is the exact player NY was missing but as you mentioned wrong age and window to get him.

Its why I think zib kreider Panarin are all gone by summer '26. Miller and tro will be the vets on this team along with some new blood.

Yep this is what is going to happen. You can’t have a team of just kids or players in their mid 20s. You need Miller and Trocheck to lead the next core of players once more players are shipped out
