The fact JT Miller saw Laf dogging it on one of the eventual goals and tried pushing him with his stick from behind to make him skate harder says it all. He’s not elite in any aspect that you’d expect from a 1 OA and his hustle doesn’t make up for any of it. He needs to take a REAL hard look in the mirror. I’d maybe put him on the 3rd line until he proves he deserves more. (I’d also bench him but we know Lavy won’t).

They should call up Brannstrom put Lindgren in moth balls til he’s traded. Put Urho with Fox for a week or two and Brannstrom with Schneider. Miller and Borgen. See how that looks til the TDL and go from there. They really need Power or Byram. They need to reduce Fox’s ice time at even strength and PK. Lavy needs to trust the youth more. I feel like he harnesses all of them. Relying to much on the older core. Lavy may ultimately be the problem. Something is holding them back

I’d very much consider Laf for Byram

It’s over pal. The JT Miller trade is Patrick Kane all over again. Older veteran for the future so Drury can continue his self preservation.

You’re ridiculous 🤦‍♂️
You need to be patient. They are transforming the team right before your eyes. They’ve won 3 games in the 3rd period before this break. So they had an all time clunker, it’s gonna happen.

They picked up a lot of ground last night, that was like a 4 pter on the standings

It’s not about patience. This team needs more than 1 player. JT Miller had to use his stick to try and make Laf skate faster on the back check (which he didn’t get back on and we got scored on).

This team should be building for the future, not trading the future to go all in the next 2-3 years. Terrible decision after terrible decision by Drury.

Yes it is. He isn’t done. I think next year is the plan. He’s loading for a huge run next season.

You just can never get over a trade. You can lt let it go. Ever. You have no patience seeing the whole thing he’s doing through. He’s adding the exact same player you go and on and on about for days that we need. He can’t win with you 🤷🏻‍♂️player with an “edge”. The players are letting him down big time this season. They seem to be snapping out of it somewhat recently. It might take one more huge trade

Laf could very well get traded. Cleaning the Kid line out completely. Maybe they don’t believe in the younger core

When we make trades, I want younger “core” pieces than 32 year olds. He’s mortgaging the future to go all in on years we’re not ready to go all in on. For ME to be saying I didn’t/don’t want JT Miller, when you know how much I like him as a player, I don’t know what else to say. He’s making this team older at not the right time.

I’m pretty sure it was vinny or at least that’s what Joe said.

Fil is made out of glass. I’m willing to bet that Miller plays more games, scores more goals , more assists in the next five years, mostly because fil will be out of hockey with a head injury.

I’m not for trading away the future, but this guy is an accident waiting to happen. It was good that they unloaded him and got such a good player in return.

Mancini will be a good 2nd pair guy with much needed size we’re lacking and that 1st could be top 20 (obv not top 13). But I’m not even confident we make the playoffs next year either. Imagine trading that pick (that the Pens now have) and giving them a top 10 pick next year??? Could be disastrous

Perrault and Othmann are the next wave. This Noah Laba people think will be a steal. Cuylle, Rempe, Edstrom, Berard, maybe Sykora.

Listen man, we’re obviously on 2 different sides of the fence.

Othmann is a toss up, I like his game, but middle 6 is likely where he’ll end up. We don’t have any high end, top line players in the pipeline. Perrault could become that, but it’s not a guarantee and is another soft East/west player and we see where those have gotten us. I obviously like Edstrom Roobroeck Rempe Berard, but all bottom 6 guys. Cuylle should be a staple in the top 6.

Patience? They have once again traded youth for older vets, no matter if its an upgrade or not, its the same circle over and over again. This organization has no patience.

You make it sound like they are on a hot streak, 5-4-1 in their last 10 isnt a hot streak.

Transforming this team into what? Older thats right
