Interesting that Talbot, Fleury and Spurgeon spent the 4 Nations break in Turks Islands. Both goalies were terrific. I thought the Wings deserved to be up more than 2-1 after 2 the way they had Fleury under siege. Both teams played well. The Wings look like a playoff team.

Edit: I thought the tripping call on Rossi in OT was bogus.

As far as the vacationing, about 12 years ago I talked to a player’s family and during the all star break that year there were NHLers everywhere in Jamaica. they did Turks another time. There seem to be a few spots to go thaw out where there aren’t a lot of fans hanging out. Pretty normal. For the call, either way it worked out well for Rossi in the end. MN dug deep in the 3rd and made a heck of a comeback/win. Refs/consistency is going to get looked at more and more each year as AI and other tools are looked at. It will be interesting to see where things go when Bettman heads out after this year.

Bad effort in the 3rd by the Wings in maintaining their lead.
Hoping they have the answer against the surging young Ducks, who have won 4 of their last 5 games!

Trade fodder?
It was reported that the Wings could be in the mix for acquiring Jordan Binnington! I do not see it, but how would that look?
Talbot and a 2nd and 3rd for Binny?
Talbot, Berggren, 2-2nds and a 4th for Binny and Fowler????? Holl to GR
