are you now saying Frost/Farabee didn't have talent? Because those are the most obvious ones I can think of. I thought Torts was holding Frost back - didn't put "skill" players out there when it mattered. Frost now has no skill? Seems like a lot of flip-flopping. I know it's hard to come up with your opinions when MJL isn't here to parrot - but you gotta try harder than that!

Gotta love Cates centering brink and forester. that's been a tremendous line for us. And hopefully Coots-MM-Tippett continues to pick up steam.

Kuz and TK have shown some decent chemistry as well. Kuz on the PP has been a revelation. Great puck mover.

2026 1st for Laughton from Caps
Minten for Laughton offered by PHI, Leafs rejected
2nd (Dunno what year) for Laughton from Jets

Ive heard Dustin Byfuglien and a 3rd.

Leafs had better not be offering Cowan, Minten or any 1st rounders (2026 or after) for Laughton.

Parayko, Schenn, Rantanen, are the names that need to be on the table for the Leafs to put any of those picks/prospects on play.

Not sure why you think Schenn is worth it. Asking Price is Cowan or Minten + 1st. Big price jump for 9 extra points

Leafs should absolutely be all in. By the time Cowan or Minten are prime NHLers (IF) The Leafs window will be closing if not closed.

I agree but would love it if we somehow get a late first. I like Laughton but he is what he is at this point.

End of the 2nd period- Brandt Clarke for LA is playing as the 7th Dman- 6 shifts-4:35 ice time. Next lowest Kings Dman- 11 shfits. Not sure what is going on, but he just turned 22 and has 2 less points then Sanheim. Briere is going to have to do these type of deals to get better talent in the organization. Going to have to give up something of value to acquire and hopefully that player grows and gets better.

The more time passes the more I don’t believe Briere has the guts to make these types of moves. I’d love to be proven wrong, but as of now, GMDB hasn’t done anything other than a no-brainer in drafting Michkov a couple years back.

I cannot disagree to this point. This regime would have to be an all time great amateur prospect evaluators to acquire, draft and develop all the key pieces on the roster. Seems highly unlikely. Brandt Clarke would easily be the best Dman from a ceiling standpoint under the age of 25 in the organization. Yup, and I'm including York and Bonk
