Why dafuq would Seattle want Rielly?!?! That would be the dumbest trade in the history of the NHL. Plus, he ain't waiving his NMC to go to Seattle. |

Could Canes move Ranta to ANA for something worthwhile. Probably would include Zegras but can they push Verbeek for McTavish and some other parts?
I doubt Verbeek will agree to move McTavish because I don’t see Ranta resigning on a team that isn’t playoff bound. But rumour is that his partner is an wannabe actress. So Cali might beckon |

Why would the Sabres accept less for Cozens ? Were already horrible, There is no pressing need to move him. Adams is a sit on your hands gm. Nothing will get done other than Jokiharu for a lowly 5th |

Why would Buffalo accept less for Cozens than they turned down 2 months ago? He's been down to .5ppg all year... |

He may very well end up staying there but I don't know how anyone who isn't close to him can predict anything right now. Usually an elite UFA has the choice between staying where he's comfortable or exploring the market. He was deprived of the former - and it seems to have shaken him to his core - so I can see where he'd like to pursue the latter rather than just re-upping where he happened to be traded.
To be clear, I hope he signs there. I'd rather have him signed in the east than have any chance he ends up in the west and I think the Canes are a good spot for him. But I just wonder if he feels resistance about being somewhat guided into where he'll spend the rest of his career.

Bolts just gave up two 1sts and a 2nd for a couple third / fourth liners. Damn, what an all-time overpay
Bjorkstrand and Gourde have 22 goals combined this season
This is worse than the Jeannot trade!

The lightning once again will be in the playoffs, as good as they were in 2021, with as good a chance as anyone to win the cup.
Draft picks are like going to the gas station and picking up lottery tickets. I will take playoff/cup challenging hockey today...all day...all week...over holding lottery tickets I can scratch off in 2030.
This team was decimated by the flat cap from BS Covid era. Now there is no better team set up salary cap wise for the next 3 to 4 years. They core is in the prime (ex Hedman. Point, Kuch, Cirelli, Hagel, Cernak, all locked in...don't forget VAsi who is quietly about to overtake Hellebuyk stat wise.
Now they have a few young studs coming up as well. They have 3 NHL ready d men in Syrcacuse. Conner Geekie will be a stud in a few years and Isaac Howard may turn out to be a high end prospect as soon as next year.
Love them picking up solid hockey players. Puck possession, two way smart hockey players. Bjorkstrand will score a lot with this team.
Everyone can hate them, but Tampa is best run franchise in sports 10 plus years and counting.
Hope they find a way to add David Savard for the stretch. |

No one hates the Lightning, man. Just a dumb trade. They don’t have the talent to be mortgaging their future like this. Jeannot was an awful trade, and this is worse
But if you wanna fabricate some kind of “us against the world!” narrative, go for it, boss |
