such a sad, sad turn of events. I miss the days when the cats could score at will

Maurice has turned the Panthers into a low-scoring defensive team. They developed this team around Tkachuk, who is a disrupter and gets teams off their game. Tkachuk himself is no speed demon, and that is probably why he pulled his groin in the 4 Nations tournament. So, they base their game on heavy forechecking in the hope of pucks being turned over. The problem with this is that they are so slow-footed that the other team is already halfway down the ice before they can catch up with them. Since Tkachuk has been absent, no one has taken the initiative to cause disruption and hit the opposition in the attack zone. The name of the game nowadays is speed; if you don't have it, the other teams will play keep-away all night long.

It is sad when we let artificial intelligence do our thinking for us. I base my judgments on observations, which are verbalized perceptions. The Panthers are constantly getting beat to the puck, and no disruption of play or hard forechecking turning the puck over. There is no net presence. Please try and think for yourself rather than relying on someone else to do it for you!

The Panthers have added some toughness and size to their defense. Jaycob Megna will play tonight. He stands at 6'6" and doesn't get pushed around. Maybe his addition will provide some much-needed toughness.
