He is far from the issue. He needs to be brought back. - mames11
He is an issue, He is a good regular season performer but doesnt have it during the playoffs, he disappears when it is crunch time. He is a huge defensive liability and that isnt good in the playoffs. Drury called him out a few years ago, I think after the Devils series, Im not sure what they will do with him. |

So many of them. How many guys did you see get the puck and cut TOWARDS the net today (or in recent memory) it only gets worse in the playoffs. Cuylle and Othmann (who still needs some more weight) are the only ones that try to get to the middle. It's terrible. |

Whats crazy is Rangers can still back into the playoffs.
How ironic would it be if we backed into the playoffs this year like the Caps did last year and we ended up having to play them. Would we get swept like they did last year? |

Maybe win a game but we would lose the series. We havent won more than 2 in a row since November. The Caps will ride the Ovie streak into the playoffs, I think whoever they play will be in a meat grinder. |

Mika is just a shell of himself, I have no idea what happened to that guy. He is just plan terrible. Miller is prone to at least 2 bad giveaways a game. He sucks. |

Trade Zib Kreider Panarin.
Depending on the return trade Laf and K Miller.
I’d look to admit the mistake and get rid of Borgen.
Panarin next deadline 50% retained makes the most sense to maximize the return. Would probably be looking at 1st prospect, roster player and maybe a 2nd. Something along those lines. |

Zib is playing hockey because he has to. He has a very lucrative contract.
His heart is long gone. I wrote here prior to last season, that he quit during the Devils series and never came back. It has nothing to do with what he has accomplished stat wise. He doesn't want to play hockey anymore but unless he walks away he must continue.
If the Rangers sign K. Miller it will be one of the worst mismanagement decisions ever. |

Get rid of Miller, he is a turn over machine, its like he has regressed. You cant fix stupid.
CK20 and Mika value have diminished, not sure what type of return we would get. Panarin would be interesting but I doubt they trade him if at all before next years deadline. |

The defense is a mess bc of the system and coaching. I’m not ready to write off K Miller unless we get the right return |

He by far has the lowest hockey IQ and awareness on the team.
Every mistake leads to a goal or big scoring chance |

Rangers don’t deserve to get in. Zero multi goal comebacks all season. Haven’t won 3 in a row since November. |

It’s happened three times. I posted a few blogs ago but it’s the Rangers in 93 and then the Senators and Bruins in the 2010s.
Edit: other teams were Rangers in 93, Sabres in 08, and Bruins in 15. |

Its not the system with him, its his mental toughness/choices, his turnover are unforced and ridiculous. He makes at least 2-3 a game.
The return will be whatever the market values him at. We will see what Drury does. |

Oh boy we will soon hear how the Rangers will win the Cup next year, people are crazy. You cant compare the 2 teams. If JT, Panarin and Mika can return to form, perhaps they can make the playoffs. We are going to need Othamann and GP to really take gigantic strides, both were non existent in this Devils game. |

Perreault had a great shot that Markstrom made a good save on. He also played on the power play in the second with Brodzinski and Laf, and they controlled the play in the Devils end the entire time. It was the best the PP has looked in a long time. |

Maybe they should have kept him as a winger, because he can’t play D. |

Like I said, we need them to make big strides. aside from a shot on net, they werent noticeable. |

He had switched from forward to defense in college, I forgot why though. |
