I doubt there is one person that dislikes Zucc. Wish he was still here.

The game might have ended quite differently if I were the coach. Because K'Andre wouldn't have seen the ice again after that turnover to start the 3rd. I wouldn't have said a word to him. Just left him beside Quick.

I would have dealt him at the trade deadline for a haul of picks. He's going to command $6M+ per in his next deal this offseason. He needs to go. He's barely worth $4M and I would not pay him what he and Goodrow's agent will ask for.

The half gainer on the pass from Perreault stood out. Thought he wasn’t horrible yesterday though besides that. Not great, but not horrific

“Not horrific” isn’t how I want to be describing our 1 OA pick 5 years into his career 🤦‍♂️

He really needs a change of scenery but unfortunately I think it would be a losing trade. Have to hope it just clicks for him 1 year bc he’s been bad.

Perrault is a gamer. Kids vision is unreal

it wasnt even that for me - thats a tough play w/ his momentum going to the net and the pass being deflected.

for me - it was the disallowed goal. he palms the puck down after the faceoff and immediately turns it over. zero effort to get it back and it's in the net like 4 seconds later.

the 2-1 he had also. the second he hits the offensive blue line he stops moving his feet. drives me crazy

I think the only hope for Lafreniere is a hard ass coach

People wouldn’t have been able to handle Lafreniere having a hard ass the first 5 years because of “development” malarkey

But now. Going into next year. His 6th NHL season making loads of cash. He needs it. A total hard ass. Make him cry if they have to. A coach that isn’t afraid to tell Laf he sucks and Laf will want to prove him wrong.

Yea we saw the skill a lot last year regardless of playing with bread. He just has become lazy this year and has bad habits

GP looked solid and not out place

The lazy and bad habits is what drives me INSANE with him. Fine, ur not scoring. Go out there and just HUSTLE. Throw a HIT. BACKCHECK. Do SOMETHING. Drives me insane for a 1 OA pick his appeared lack of interest/desire to be good/play hard.

Same uninterest can be said about Kreider, Mika, Fox, Key Miller. All five of those guys do bag-skates during games and never want the puck. When they get it they immediately dump it off to another player...usually the other team's player. Get rid of them all.

CK20 maybe playing hurt. Mika has been in a nose dive for 2 years now. Fox injured also? Key Miller is just a dumb player, how many times can you keep making the sme mistakes.

By no means am I dogging Panarin, but man, this might be one of the least memorable 80+ point seasons. Up until this point, at least…

How dare coaches demand better play. These players are out of control.

This contract, Pierre, and Mayfield. Great job Lou. Patrick will be another coach that takes the fall for Lou's lousy roster. How can ownership be happy with this wasted money and now not making the playoffs?

How does this work from a contract perspective? It’s my understanding right now the team is granting him this “leave”. But how long do they allow that? If they stop allowing it, does he have to report? And if he doesn’t, can they void the contract and are they absolved of the cap hit?

Edit: I don’t think that is where this is headed. But if that type of situation arised.

Duclair would have to be willing to walk away from guaranteed money for the contract to be terminated.

No chance

The Isles will do a buyout like we have done numerous times. It’s not a terrible buyout. Instead of his 3 years left 3.5 mil per year it turns into a 6 year cap hit like 1.6 mil per year or so.

Anyone else notice there were no Bro hugs from Kreider at the end of the game? It was just Troch and Mika.

BC goalie Jacob Fowler leaving school and signing with Montreal.

That school is a factory

Not sure if it’s going to be where he goes to Montreal or an ATO AHL thing

Likely the AHL thing. Habs are trying to get in the playoffs. I don't see them using this kid unless there is an injury.

So, if Roy gets poop canned would he be a consideration if Lavi does too? Not advocating just sticking with hockey talk.
