Matt Ross: Back on Track? Cats vs Wings

I love Jesse Puljujarvi's hard forechecking. It was sorely missed, and I think he should be a regular in the lineup. Now, if we can get Tkachuk back, the Panthers will be a force to reckon with.

It was a big mistake to make Puljujarvi a scratch tonight.

Nosek going to be scratched again when Benny’s back.
And then Greer or probably Gadjo sits when Tkachuk returns.
Maurice is gonna get those guys the games until then. Puljo is down the depth chart
And I forgot Verhaeghe is sitting out tonight, too.
Tonight’s 4th line will be line 5 if/when everyone is healthy


Edit: Maurice resting guys again vs the Wings. Puljo had an even better showing. He’s putting himself into the mix of Panthers depth players.

Maurice cares more about resting players, and getting some playing time for depth players than he does about playoff seeding.
