as you say, "kick over every rock" and do it over and over again before they settle on the next guy

I'd expect many men to be interviewed and those men being interviewed multiple times before they decide on one

I would think this is his last shot at a head coach, gotta get it right

Did you see the way Cuylle went to get the puck after Kreider scored his last goal for the rangers? Doesn’t sound like someone who ruined the locker room

I dont know about ruining the locker room, but if there is a market for a soon to be 34 year old LW than we should explore it.

I don’t think he did either. Why I said I want the real story to come out and not all the whispers and innuendos espoused by some on X and other places

Jay Pandalfo could be an option as well. Hard nosed player in his time

“Chris Kreider said he dealt with back troubles early in the season, an illness that resulted in vertigo midseason, and then suffered a hand injury the first game after 4 Nations.”

Chris Kreider just rattled off a few things he was dealing with this season. We knew about the back, but just when that started feeling better, he suffered a bad injury to his left hand in the first game after 4 Nations that sounds like it will require offseason surgery. Also said he was dealing with vertigo at one point. #NYR

I mentioned in the previous blog that there was a poster here who seemed to have the inside scoop on Kreider's injuries

My order is Tocchet, Sullivan, Q and torts. And I’m gonna say it’ll be one of those 4

Would be surprised if after spending 15 years in the Devils organization, he would want to come to the Rangers. But you never know. He could covet a head coaching position more than the rivalry

Thanks. It why I tried to cut him more slack than most bc of how many injuries he had. I still understand moving on from him to change up the core.

On another inside note, the players hated the coach as well.

Interesting. Can't say I am surprised in the slightest. Do you have any insight as to why or if it was all of the players or just a select group?

Defense in particular hated the man to man by housley. fwds hated the 1-3-1. Did not think it complimented them.

When he was fired, "Thank God" was a phrase a big name players mother said haha.

Trying to get any info on the drury stuff

Fortunately, the coaches out there right now are big on the 2-1-2, but theyll need to play with far more heart and effort than they exhibited for them.

Rangers are gonna Ranger. They'll hire a retread, he'll be worried it's his last coaching shot if he doesn't do well. The vets will be overplayed, the kids won't develop. And in 3 years we'll be talking about Igor like we speak about Hank. Good times.

Well, Sully and Q arent retreads. They were successful long-term championship coaches. Time got the best of Sully in Pitt and Q in Chi. You can argue Q started the culture change in Florida that led to where they are now.
