i remember being underwhelmed by the raconteurs when i first tried them and i stopped listening to them. which was disappointing because i love the white stripes and i love jack's guitar playing.

same kind of disappointment that came with jarvis cocker's solo stuff compared to pulp's stuff and the way i love pavement but borderline hated steven malkmus and the jicks.

this song is on repeater guy's radio at least once a day and i never knew it was the raconteurs.

i basically tried to force myself to like steven malkmus and the jicks. but i had to give up.

i would have made a jicksave856 account that captfreeblow would have realized was me after about 6 months of hard research and put into phone purg.

I agree about the raconteurs. He brought me back with The Dead Weather though. Love Alison Mosshart. The Kills are totally underrated.

the raconteurs have some real good music but their singles are not an example of that

This is actually one of the songs I do like. I just think their stuff is top heavy. I can't listen to their albums all the way through without wanting to change the song at times.

it seems more poppy or something than the white stripes, which is weird because the white stripes were all over the radio. maybe it's just because i guess i've mostly heard the raconteurs singles.

i do like this carolina song thingy. it's playing right now through the magic of tabbed browsing.
