At least he is not scared in the net like a certain Canadien's goaltender in 1989 was every time Al McInnis wound up for a slap shot |

heard from who, again get lost a goalie who scored on himself every game likely wouldn't be a starter in the 2nd best league in the world let alone be drafted by an NHL team |

So now that the "newness" has worn off, are you still liking the trade after a dozen or so games? Considering of course point production, salary cap, etc.
Since the trade:
Cammy - 4-2=6 pts
Bourgue - 3-2=5 pts.
I am a Habs fan # 1 but living in Calgary I am also a big Flames fan. From both sides I liked the deal for the Habs better and did not understand why the Flames did it. IMO, the Flames should have been looking to deal Iggy, Kipper, Stajan and JBo and then build around the prospects and picks they got back. |

don't understand why they did it? please note the dogfight they are in for the play-offs, and if they get in the playoffs the one guy you want on your team is cammy |

Points aside, Cammy has shown more desire/heart in the games since coming here then Bourque had all season.
He's stepped in at center, and played pretty well with crap for wingers. If fact, you could argue he's made Comeau a better player.
Also, I believe it's safe to assume he has more hits than Bourque... which is the icing on the cake for me. |

They should not of "went for it", they should have been sellers. Even if they make the playoffs, they won't get far, so isn't it better to rebuild for the future cause they will gradually get older and worse? |

as a habs fan shouldn't you of all people know that anything can happen in the play-offs? so far the flames have split the season series with both vancouver and detriot, they are a very capable hockey team, and if they get in to the play offs they will be a tough team to play, anything can happen in april. |

The Flames did it to try and make the playoffs and I think Cammy gives them a better shot at doing so. |

Bourque is lazy. Those 59 of those 66 hits were just him leaning on another player so he could have a rest. |

Tonight is a prime example of why Cammy is SO much better for the Flames and Bourque ever was...
Clutch player!!!
Rene and his 30+ goals he scores when it doesn't matter and stay somewhere other then a Flames jersey. |

So I'm watching the Habs v Devils game... is Bourque playing???
seriously though, I've heard his name twice:
1. "...and Bourque is taken off the puck"
2. "...and Bourque falls by the boards"
no, really... the only two times Bob Cole has said his name.
EDIT: wait... a 3rd time! just now...
3. "...and Bourque shots it wide"
Sounds like a quality deal huh... >.> |

As a Flames fan, I am not syaing getting rid of Bourque was not the right move, if they got a 2nd or 3rd rd pick for him that would have been the right move, not for a high salary player. |

why would a playoff team (no, I'm not saying they are in, nor will make it) trade a roster player for a pick?
Like it or not, the ownership have manidated to the GM to shot for the playoffs every year.
How does Bourque for a pick help that goal? |

It doesn't. My point is that the team has the wrong mandate.

your opinion. Ya... those draft pick rebuilds sure look like fun...
- Oiler fans?
- Panther fans?
- Columbus fans?
- Av fans?
- Islander fans?
and so on...
the pens and hawks got lucky...
I'd much rather take the Devils/Flyers/sharks approach thanks. |

I'll take the Oilers and Avs teams over the Flames team anyday, especially the Oilers, they will kill the Flames for years to come, prob as soon as next year. |
