What do we need Parros for and leave Ennis out for now.
- buffalo 1

Parros's stache alone is worth a 4th rounder. We need some one to beat the crap out of a few players.... our own players.

offensively yea he has. I said from my first post that Roy has better offensive ability.

Plek>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Roy in 2-way play.

and if it were such an even swap, every fan wouldnt be loving the idea and every hab fan wouldnt think it was retarded.

- muffin_man

they score roughly the same, and both have a defensive side. whats not equal here?

Why is everyone listening to EK? and Darcy won't make any deals I don't care what anyone is reporting.
- SABRES 89

Then he will get fired. to NOT make trades when you're that close to the bottom when you expected to be near the top is terrible. sell all the UFAs and look to next season.

Roy should be traded for a second round pick. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't see the point of bringing in an underproducing player on a bad contract with 4 years left when we've got Roy on a relatively good contract with only 1 year left. The deal makes little sense to me for a team that is definitively NOT going to make the playoffs. Roy, Stafford, Boyes, and anybody else on the team should be dealt for picks or proven players only.

Roy will produce 5-10 points per year more, Plek is vastly superior defensively and plays a shut down role in and 1st line PK.

I didn't say I would love it, so your generalization is wrong. Try again.

Second of all, if you look up the stats, Roy has a better career +/- than Pleks. So, you're wrong again. But, nice try.

What ever happened to "everything is different this yea"

Pegula came in here and said he'd change the whole fricking city. If Darcy does nothing, he's gone.

+/- is the greatest stat in the world as long as it supports your argument.

strength of opponent, comparisons to other players on your team, use in various situations, none of these factor into a +/- debate AT ALL

+/- is now, and always has been, a defenseman's stat. It has almost no use for forwards.

If they make this move its because management feels Roy is a problem in the locker room. It would be more a trade at improving team chemistry.

If the chatter about Derek Roy and the Montreal Canadiens is true, then the Sabres better get Tomas Plekanec back in return

Keep Roy.
