Roy acts and plays the way he does because he's been allowed to get away with it. The blame for that falls directly on Lindy, the rest of the coaching staff and to a lesser degree, Darcy. He's been rumored to be in "Lindy's Doghouse" many times since he's been a full-time Sabre. Though, somehow, he's managed to stick around. I don't hate many players, let alone any Sabres, but he's really getting close. I'm tired of him acting like a high school or travel team player when there's an offside called against him and his linemates - the whining, the stick swinging, etc.

You're in your mid to late 20s, Derek. It's time to start acting like it.

I think most of us will agree with you. That being said, his stats say that he could still be a 60 to 70pt guy in this league. For $4 million that's pretty good.

If I was a GM for a different team, I'd be targeting Gaustad, Roy and hecht as rental players. Boyes wouldn't be on my radar at all.

To be fair to Roy, Ruff's golden boy Pominville made the exact same play on the PK against Chicago, which led to a point shot and rebound for a goal. That being said, Roy still sucks!
