I'm not sold on DD even though the guy produces. Ask Cole and Pacioretty and they say they owe it to DD. - willey101

I'm not sure why we're even debating Plekanec vs. Roy.
Dumping Roy and getting rid of his lazy play and attitude is addition by subtraction.
The guy has no work ethic. |

that would be an absolutely retarded idea.
Are you so self-involved that you would take me thinking plek is better than your best center as me thinking I wouldn't trade him for anything short of malkin? - muffin_man
what we are all trying to tell you is that you're overvaluing your player. you think plekanec is better than what he really is.
of course you would trade plekanec for malkin, malkin is clearly by leaps and bounds the better player. but you wouldnt trade him away for a better (or equal which is debatable, as weve been debating) player in derek roy.
aside from this season, roy has been somewhat consistent each year of his career. last season was going to be a renaissance year for him until he got injured. this season, for whatever reason, maybe an injury hangover, maybe the pressure hes dealing with hes struggling.
a change of scenery would wake up the competitive spirit in the guy. its alive, its just not working out for him right now. |

let me ask you, it seems as if the habs went for the post-lockout sabres model--small and skilled, strong goaltending and a mobile d...

the team is not playing well in front of him (just look at the PP last night, yikes) hell the whole game.
last night shouldve been 8-1 jets, but Miller made some fantastic saves no thanks to his team |

Don't laugh. Phoenix scouts have been looking at him for 3 games now. Guess they are hoping he shows life because of his $5 million price tag next season and $4.5 a season later and $7.4 cap hit. - willey101
If Montreal were shopping Goatmez they should stop the national media from telling that they plan on buying him out after the season.

Roy should be traded for a second round pick. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't see the point of bringing in an underproducing player on a bad contract with 4 years left when we've got Roy on a relatively good contract with only 1 year left. The deal makes little sense to me for a team that is definitively NOT going to make the playoffs. Roy, Stafford, Boyes, and anybody else on the team should be dealt for picks or proven players only. - lacaprup
Roy is going to get the same package the senators got for mike fisher
just a iittle more in the deal |

Only nobody in the media is actually saying they plan on doing that. They are saying they should do it. Big difference and Geoff Molson himself said he would not bury the contract. |

Montreal has been off balance since they sent one of the greatest goalies ever off for TI BLOW and parts
name one good trade they have made since that day |
