Gotta admit, this one tripped me up. Kept thinking about Charlie Conacher. Fits into some of the criteria, but not all. Then, after reading the posts, Doug Bentley's name made perfect sense.

I was thinking one of the Patrick's, but they all won cups (at least the ones in the HHOF)

Bentley definitely works, i just don't know the answer to this question:

When, as a coach, I placed my son in the lineup and played him, what is generally thought to be a professional hockey record was set.

It has to be one of the Doug Bentley because of the brother line and 4 ASG games and two teams etc.

However I can't find mention of him ever coaching his son Doug Jr. I'm sure it happened though.

Give us like 5 clues not ten and it might be a little harder
